"No free wifi in the room, only free wifi in the lobby. Check out time too early. Location is on the hill, if u come from Circular Quey, need to climb the stairs, so not convenient for those carry big and heavy luggages. Other than that, it's ok. Location is in the Rocks area. U can visit famous Pancakes on the Rocks restaurant, just a stone throws away. U can easily access Harbour bridge, Circular Quey, Opera House, Botanic Gardens. 1st timers to Sydney like me, are encourage to spend at least a night here, then u will get what i meant. If u lodge on Saturday, don't miss the Rocks market there (only once a week on Sat). Room is clean and have private bathroom and toilet that share by 4 of your roommates if u choose 4 shared room."

"A year ago, I went to Sydney and stayed elsewhere. In one of my adventures, I went to the Rocks and instantly fell in love with the place. During this trip, I checked out several hotels and among them, Holiday Inn Old Sydney fit every requirement that I had. Fortunately, my expectations were exceeded when I stayed here for 4 nights. I had a grand time (compared to my last trip). My room has a spectacular view of the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Bridge. Surrounding the hotel where a variety of mom and pop shops and restaurants that have been there decades ago so food was superb and not commercialized. Since the Rocks is the oldest area in the city, it has a vintage, nostalgic yet cozy ambiance and Holiday Inn has kept the same look and feel despite the up-to-date amenities. I also love the location because I easily got to places I wanted to visit. Its strategically located at or near Circular Quay where most, if not all, public transportation are available. Circular Quay is even the starting point of most tours (Hop on Hop Off bus, Cruises). Best of all, Holiday Inn Old Sydney has the most sensible rate among branded hotels in the area. The others were just really overpriced. "

"We celebrated our wedding in the Rocks, the Pier One Sydney Harbour was central to both our ceremony venue and reception venue, the staff were extremely helpful, they organised a car for us as it was raining, we stayed both the night before and the night of and the bar downstairs was open very late which allowed us to have drinks with family and friends. The rooms are huge and very clean, the cleaning staff both days were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We needed an extra bed made up when we arrived, it was done within 10 minutes of our arrival. Thank you to the staff at The Sebel Pier One, we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Sydney."

"I knew that this accomodation was above a pub prior to booking which was he reason for doing so. 7 min walk from the overseas passenger terminal and eight next to the harbour bridge. My favourite area in Sydney being the Rocks I would recommend this for someone or a couple that are free and easy and don’t mind noise. Though I had no problem sleeping at 1am. Shared bathrooms were no issue as level two had three on the floor anyway. Friendly staff I would return "

"Rendezvous Stafford Hotel in The Rocks is in a great location - a quiet street and a little hidden away, but still walking distance to the Harbour Bridge and to Circular Quay/Opera House. The rooms are huge with a kitchen, meals and lounge area included. If you are expecting views, book a harbour view room though - we couldn't see anything out of our window but a concrete wall. The rooms have a nice modern look. Had no problems at all here. Room service was excellent. "
