The beautiful exterior and clean rooms of the Central Post Office, built in 1874. The staff were very friendly and provided additional water and towels upon request, which was great. It was the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The location is also great, in the heart of the city center and within walking distance to Darling Harbour, making the satisfaction level very high.

Great hotel for a short stay that is in need of a renovation”
The service at The Fullerton Sydney was great. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. That said, do note that late checkouts that aren’t complimentary are chargeable and at quite a steep price. As for the breakfast buffet, the selection was decent. From the reviews of other hotels I perused, tamper your expectations. The food selection in Sydney hotels are generally not as extensive as those provided by hotels in Asia, even of a similar brand. Perhaps I have just been spoiled. In any event, you should be satisfied. I booked the Superior King Room with Club Lounge access. The bed was large and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. However, the decoration is dated. It looks like it was furnished in the late 90s or early 00s. Power points were only available at one side of the bed and there was no provision for USB-A, USB-C or wireless charging. At least it doesn’t have the musty smell that I’ve come to associate with the Sheraton Grand. I do hope The Fullerton Sydney would consider refurbishing its rooms, including those found in the Grand Post Office wing. I would consider staying at The Fullerton Sydney again after I have tried other newer hotels during my next visit.

Not only did he kindly provide us with a corner room, but he also took the initiative to offer a self-drive plan to the Blue Mountains, knowing my preference for driving. His encouragement and clear guidance made our excursion a memorable highlight of our trip. Additionally, I must commend the assistance provided by Tito at the Bell desk. Understanding my inexperience with car rentals, Tito graciously helped book a car for our Blue Mountains adventure. Despite encountering some issues with the rental, Tito and the rest of the staff remained friendly and helpful, ensuring that the situation was resolved promptly. Another manager on duty, Medelaine Clifford, was instrumental in resolving the rental car issues by writing an email to the rental company, which greatly alleviated our concerns. The exemplary service and personalized attention from Mr. Rana, Tito, and Mede significantly contributed to a positive experience at the Fullerton Hotel. The hotel's stunning architecture, convenient location, and top-notch amenities further elevate its appeal. I can’t fault The Fullerton, it has lived up to its 5 star status. Location is convenient as it’s just in the CBD, near the shopping centres, walking distance to the Opera House & Darling Harbour. Breakfast was delish, although same choices everyday (stayed for 4 nights). Would have been great if there’s a twist or changes in the menu. One hiccup on our stay , was on the second day our room wasn’t clean. Being a tourist in Sydney, we were out whole day. After breakfast we were gone and came back late at night. That was the routine everyday. 1 day of missed housekeeping is alright maybe they were so busy. The next day again, anniversary day, we came back late and our room was awfully topsy turvy & bathroom was a mess coz it’s still not clean and it’s our anniversary night. If other hotels we were into in the past would surprise us with something sweet in our room, Fullerton surprised us with no water to drink and a dirty room considering I rang that morning the reception to have our room cleaned after 10am ( when we are gone) and on our way out also again reminded the housekeeper herself who was cleaning on the other room to include ours as well.. unfortunately, it was not done. We obviously complained at the reception and they told us it wasnt cleaned for two days because the “no disturb” light was on! Which we didnt touch at all, we were not even oriented where is it. But the point is they were rang on that morning and housekeeping was also personally informed. But let’s say, No disturb sign was on, would you not be curious and check on your guest if he or she is still alright? Two days?? I work in the healthcare and i tell you, it pays to be vigilant of your guest because so many people can just have an arrest or burst an aneurysm alone.. So in that part, we were not impressed. Classy Stay in the Heart of Sydney”
I stayed at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney recently, and it was such a nice experience. The hotel is in this gorgeous old GPO building, so it feels really classy but still comfortable. The location is amazing—right in the heart of the city and super close to places like the Opera House and Darling Harbour. The rooms are spacious, really homey, and have beautiful views of the inside of the hotel, which is super cool. They even offer free umbrellas if it’s raining, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but for a special occasion or treat, it’s totally worth it.
