Sydney CBD hotels & accommodations

A great location for Sydney CBD. The hotel room was comfortable and quiet enough for a good nights sleep. Upon closer inspection the bathroom and toilet area was not as clean as expected and required some maintenance, but overall I would return. Carparking is an issue in Sydney CBD, be prepared to pay $30.00 a day to use the hotel carpark.

CBD hotel was perfect for us. The room was a little bit smallish tify and clean, very good value for the money, so close to all the activities we wanted to do on our long weekend around Sydney CBD ,the staff were friendly and attended to all our request promptly. The only negative was we couldn't extend our stay for half a day as our flight was in the evening at 8:00 ...

My stay was good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms are nice and the hotel is in great shape. Can't beat the location on Darling Habor (highly recommend a room with a harbor view). My only down comment applies to all hotels in Sydney and Australia - the price of breakfast (AU$30 for continental and AU$35 for full) is outrageously expensive.

Enjoyed my stay there. Superb location. Centrally located in Sydney CBD and close to everything. Attentive and helpful staff. Room is a bit small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was so so, but room service dinner was great. Fast check out. My bill was first incorrect with minibar items I didn't take. Told the staff and he fixed it right away without any hassle.

the apartment is located in the heart of sydney cbd. it is very close to shopping mall (located just opposite to world square shopping centre), chinatown, market city, and tourist's places of interest. during my stay here, i rented a two-bedroom apartment. the size of the rooms were so huge and very clean, and it has a unique design, in which makes you comfortable and ...

Located in Sydney CBD, close to town hall. I didn't catch any public transport except going to the airport because everything is close by (you may need to use public transport if you don't like walking long distance). I walked to Potts Point from the hotel and it took me about half hour. But I really enjoyed it. Hotel itself is good, reasonable price and very clean. I'...

I had a great time with friends whilst staying at the Grace Hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Dining within the hotel was also excellent. Definitely recommend Grace hotel to those interested in staying in Sydney CBD. Close to main shopping district, cafes, and clubs.

when we arrived, we were greeted with a very warm welcome and the registration is very fast. although the room is quite small, we don't mind because it is clean and tidy. the service is also very good, the cleaner comes every day and make up our room nicely. the position of this hotel is very close to the city centre and by just walking for a few you can catch a free t...

Very comfortable, clean hotel in Sydney CBD close to restaurants and 5min walk from Museum train station. Room was spacious with all necessary amenities. Only miss is that the swimming pool is quite small, but overall a fantastic hotel. Would happily stay again.

Booking Veriu Central is one of the best decisions I have made during my preparation for our recently concluded trip to Sydney. The room rate is very reasonable given their location. It is located at CBD and is few blocks away from the tourist spots and restaurants. We were able to access lots of places by walking because of the strategic location of the hotel. The...

Zara Tower located very close to Central Station MRT, and only 10 minutes walk to Sydney CBD, also lots of dining places around Zara Tower. The room is nicely designed, very clean and spacious, comfortable for staying with family or group. Staffs are friendly and helpful especially to arrange local tour (with many option of hotel's tour partners).

I was there during end of May 2017, with my wife and a young child. The location is great. Woolworth is just nearby. Walking distance to most of the tourist attractions. I have searched a lot other hotels in Sydney, and Primus is by far the best value for the size of room they offer. I booked Deluxe King but I was lucky to get an upgrade to Executive room for free. ...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Sydney trip. The hotel is a bit smaller than what we expected. However, it is conveniently located, being close to the different attractions in Sydney CBD. Those that are a stroll away are Darling Harbour, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussaud's, Chinatown, Sydney Tower Eye, Sydney Town Hall, shopping centers like Quee...

The hotel is central to the Sydney CBD - close to great eateries, shopping and public transportation. The staff are friendly and helpful and will provide assistance if you are not familiar with the city. Will definitely be staying here the next time I'm in Sydney.

Arriving from the airport we were blown away by the position and the build of the hotel. Free mini bar and happy hour meant you felt welcome and didn't feel you were getting fleeced - ever. The position of the hotel in Sydney was first rate. 5 minutes to the Botanics,15 minutes to the Opera House and 20 minutes to Circular Quay - by foot! One of the best features was ...

the hotel is located in central Sydney CBD, close to every point of interest such Mall to shop on Pitt Street, a lot of restaurant around there, although memento also provide you a good breakfast . you only walking distance to darling harbour, the rock, circular quay, opera house and for sure botanical garden. if you want to use the subway transportation is easy to g...

Had a great stay, good location. Enjoyed pool and spa area. A little dated but not too bad and this is made up for by how clean and comfortable it is. Unfortunately our stay was left with a negative outcome when we were charged $150 at check out for 3 nights of parking. I was advised that it was on the paperwork I signed at Yes I made the age old error of not reading t...

Hotel is 100 meters from Wynyard train station and walking distance from most things you would like to see in Sydney CBD, Rocks area and Sydney Opera House. Car parking is 40$ a day. Bathrooms are small but have been renovated recently. Standard and executive rooms are the same but executive rooms are on higher floors and a bit more quiet from street noise. 500MB free ...

Hotel is 400 m to Central station, Lite Rail and Museum station, 15/20 min walk to Circular key. Coles and W/worths nearby if you want your own food (the latter near Central station, Coles near China Town which also is about 500 m. Spa and pool open all year and spa is heated. Staff very accommodating - actually went out of their way to help. Accommodation was good (w...

This hotel is very central in Sydney CBD. Its location is perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I didn't have any major complaints about the room other than its being rather small. On the other hand, power outlets were not very convenient for charging cell phone or a laptop because the outlets are on the ground level and some of them are behind some cabi...
Cheap places to stay in Sydney CBD

1) we were able to check in before 2pm as we arrived earlier than expected. the front office staff were extremely friendly and efficient with providing us a cbd map, they would also take the initiative to google a place for us if they were not familiar with it. 2) we were staying on the 6th floor double decker bed, the size of the room would fit the bed and two cup...

The mattress of the bed is old, but it doesn't matter because it's still comfy and it's clean. The linen were also clean and has no smell. The staff were great and accommodating. I also got some awesome and friendly roommates. Breakfast was coffee/tea, toast, bread and cereals. Worth the money. Location is a 10-15 minute walk from the CBD, the place is quiet, good for ...

It wasn’t perfect but it wasn’t as bad as what others said in their reviews. Maybe they were expecting something like a 5 star hotel in a hostel. One of the cheapest hostels in Sydney and you also get to save on transpo since everything is walking distance. It is regularly cleaned everyday. Facilities great. My favorite are the staff. Special mention to Diego, Angelo, ...

This is probably one of the best hostels in sydney with a great atmosphere and modern facilities. I have met travellers from all over the world and enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Now the only problem was the fact that many of the guests (including me) were forced to change rooms due to group bookings and other reasons, it made it pretty inconvenient. The other issue was w...

This was an amazing fun hostel to stay at while you're in Sydney if you're looking to meet people and have a good time. They are right next to a good bar so you get discounts and its always something to do at night. They are also in a good location for the metro and not far away from the ferries. I would definitely recommend this hostel if you are looking to stay in CB...

Place is close to central station and basically all tourist places in sydney cbd like paddys market, chinatown, st marys cathedral, etc. No alcohol, no noise, no party policy in the hostel so it's quiet and not rowdy like other places. Kitchenware is complete and bathroom is always clean! Towels and toiletries are even provided in the room. Super value for the money.

Great location in Sydney CBD, walking distance to metro (Central Station) and walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and bars/pubs. Rooms were clean and facilities were good as well. Just be aware the kitchen/public area can get very busy and Wifi is only on ground floor. Other than that, great hostel and good value for money. Highly recommend!

The place can get very dirty as day goes - There's no clothes for tenants to wipe the benches after meals even if they want to clean up their messes. Stuffed room even with fan on 24/7 and windows open. One blond receptionist was super kind while one staff member ?receptionist was a bit rough (It was not my fault that I didn't receive a towel on arrival why blamed me f...

My friend and I stayed in a twin room with an ensuite- a nice, comfortable room for a hostel. (Some kind of soap holder would have been appreciated in the shower, though the bathroom was clean and water pressure was good!). All the accomodation in Sydney was very pricey during the weekend of the stay- given the fact, the cost of the room was reasonable. Beds were quite...

Location is fantastic, in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Lift is a little slow, but I didn't mind - at least it exists and does work. Personally really enjoyed the capsule life - They're spacious enough to sit up comfortably in, and incredibly well equipped, with a host of charging sockets, light and air circulation controls, ledges for putting your stuff, and a mirror t...

Room was great and desk came in handy as well as the clothes rack, lockers even in a private room is good if your conscious about your belongings. Conveniently located a 5 minute walk to Central Station. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Kitchen is a little small but has everything you need to cook your meals, only one washer and one dryer so I’d imagine if it ...

Our flight to Sydney was delayed by several hours, leading us to have to do an after-hours check-in. I emailed Casa Central ahead of time to let them know. Once we finally arrived, we followed their instructions 100% and called the emergency number listed by the door -- went straight to voicemail. We left several messages and waited and waited and waited. It wasn't unt...

I like the location as easier access to all landmark in CBD by walking. Hotel just next to Central Railway Station (next to Mercure Hotel), opposite of Hotel is University of Technology Sydney. Darling Harbour, Paddy market n Chinatown is just only 5-10 mins walk. City Link by Tram to Fish market and others, Bondi Beach by Train just next to this hotel via Central Rail...

minimum amenity being a small pub with accommodation but i loved that it was just that. the rooms were singles, no aircon, and shared bathrooms but even so i was more comfortable than when i have stayed in 4-5 star hotels in sydney. i thought i was going to have trouble sleeping because a nearby cafe was pumping tunes into the night but the bed was so comfortable i was...

I enjoyed the stay at Park Regis City Centre. It is centrally located in Sydney CBD area, just 10 minutes walk or less to Pitt Street Mall and Sydney Tower which one of the attractions in Sydney. The staff are super helpful. They gave good guide on how to travel around Sydney CBD area. The room we got was hugh. We got the groundfloor level room, could see passbyer shadows at times, otherwise its safe. Its located near Wynard station, where there is a direct line to the international airport, what convenient! Behind is where Darling harbour and The Rock is (5min...

Last time we'd visited Sydney we had regularly visited Harry's Bar - there is a great atmosphere, it's always busy, with good music (in my opinion). At the weekend there is also a good club upstairs. We drank and ate there on Tuesday night - menu is small, but tasty, and bar closes late. Harry's hotel has a retro feel to it, we chose a room with two double beds, d...

Looking to work and relax in Sydney? Look no further. Hyde Park Inn is great for business travellers, not just for the affordable hotel rates and free fast wifi but it is literally a few streets away from the bustle of George Street and just across the road from the peaceful scenic view of Hyde Park. I love the walk down the street through the park for a morning walk b...

It took me a while, browsing through tripadvisor & agoda reviews before settling with hotel stellar. I'm a solo traveler & there were a couple of concerns : location, convenience, & affordability. Location & Convenience : Hotel Stellar is located on Wentworth Ave, in between the city, where you can satisfy all your shopping needs & Oxford road, a vibrant cultural s...

We enjoyed our stay @ Travelodge Phillip Street. It was clean and quiet with a very friendly staff. The location was close to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park and the Sydney CBD. The price was reasonable and we were very pleased overall.

I booked Rendezvous Hotel a few months in advance, so I think I have got a good discount at that time, with free premium WiFi (although it turned out not easily connected). The room was spacious, clean & quite, easily controlled room temperature, has provided the exactly basics what I needed to stay in a hotel, the cups & teabags from three countries were impressive ...

Pros: location, bar, well trained staff - on brand and smart, bathroom well-designed, quality simple. Cons: rooms are quite small, aesthetic palette is ridiculous (green carpets, and chairs, fluorescent/halogen poor lighting 4000 -5000 kelvin makes for harsh tones). Gym is pathetically small. Plugs aren’t universal, “Australia only” - when most devices today have m...

The Castle Hotel Sydney is centrally located in the CBD a short walk to China Town and close to Central and Museum stations. The room I stayed in was a one bedroom apartment which had all the usual cooking facilities which is very convenient. The apartment was clean and the bed very comfortable which is all you could hope for in a hotel.

If you are looking for a quiet 4-star hotel to stay that is not over-prices in accomodations and wifi, look no further. Wyndham is a pleasant surprise to any Sydney traveller as it is near to the CBD, Chinatown, Darling Harbour while being close to a facinating array of F&B outlets. Thumbs up on the great rooms and service and rest assured that I will come again.

great stay, friendly and efficient staff. Great facilities and wonderful fresh roasted in house coffee, as well as in room Nespresso facilities which is a basic requirement for my travel comfort. The people from the reception to housekeeping were all very welcoming. Right next to the central station so traveling in and out of Sydney; not to mention to and from the airport are hassle-free. Will definitely pick this when I return back since I am already planning on a return trip back hopefully by next year.

we rented a 3 bedroom apartment for a party of 5 adults and 2 kids. rooms are big, with spacious living room; and fully equipped with washer-dryer and kitchen. location is perfect. supermarket and many restaurants just right under our feet. close to thai town, vietnamese town and china town, and all the malls in sydney cbd (westfield, myer etc) facilities (gym and pool...

We had a studio apartment and was pleasantly surprised on how much room there was. Good location - 5 min walk to Darling Harbor. This hotel is in a fantastic location to all of the Sydney CBD. Not too far walk from Haymarket, Chinatown and Darling Harbour as well as not too far from Pitt Street Mall.
