"Very friendly staff and great location to get heading North the next day. Parking was an issue as I got in at 10PM and all the allocated parks were taken. Room was well suited and very clean. Overall would happily use the hotel again."

"this was my husband's and my second stay at the courtyard by marriott, north ryde. as per our first visit, the hotel lived up to its 5 star rating. this time we were on the ground floor but we could've been on the roof level because it was so quiet. our room was on the highway side of the building but there was no traffic noise whatsoever. i think i may've booked a queen bed, but on arrival we were given two double beds; mine was the most comfy i've slept in and having all that room to myself was bliss. although the hotel is generally beginning to show some very minor signs of wear and tear (hallways could do with some repair and a spruce up), the cleanliness of the room was beyond reproach, with crisp white sheets and towels, of which there were more than ample for two of us. the desk and wireless internet access came in very handy, as does the in-room safe. an all-important hotel feature for both of us is a good shower rose/ head and the marriott's are fantastic; good strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. my only gripe with the ensuite is having to climb over the edge of the bath to get in and out of the shower (being short (5'2" or 158cm), it was a bit high, although the shower itself more than made up for that) but there is a handrail to assist you. there's good lighting over the full bathroom width vanity, along with complimentary toiletries, as well as a full sized hairdryer. the restaurant is well presented, with a full a la carte menu and a well stocked bar. the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and, if you're not quite ready to retire after dinner, kick back in the bar area and try a glenmorangie sampler. a 5 star hotel that really has earned its rating *is* going to be expensive, but agoda makes staying at the courtyard by marriott, north ryde, very affordable. i'd recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a little luxury and reasonable proximity to most things."

"If not for a few details, we would give this hotel a 5 out of 5. The room is very spacious and clean. The bed & pillows are excellent. The bathroom might not suit everyone due to a small opening above its door and the fact its bulbs enlighten the whole room. The breakfast is very nice. All dishes were available in large amounts except on the third morning of our stay (it doesn't help that some customers fill their plates, with half of what they've taken remaining untouched). The whole building is very modern, we were a bit unlucky that one of the two lifts was out of service for two days. You can park on the street for free on weekends. From Monday to Friday it might be cheaper to stay in the hotel's underground parking ($3 per hour if you park on the street between 7am and 7pm). It should be noted that even though none of the "issues" described above were major ones, the hotel didn't make us pay for the day we used the underground parking. We will most definitely stay there again"

"This place is a real gem. Right in the heart of Ryde, shopping, transport and food outlets and priced just right. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, wonderful to encounter considering we arrived at 8pm after a long day. The studio was immaculate and the coffee was a bonus! Our only gripe is the complimentary tolieties made us both itchy and smelt a bit off. Great place! "

"I stay here regularly as I am an interstate external postgraduate student of Macquarie University. This is the best hotel in the North Ryde area for me as it is easy walking distance to my classes, the kitchenette allows me to prepare my own meals and save on costs (although when I order room service it is quick and very nicely prepared), the room is always clean, the hotel is always quiet so I am able to study in the evenings and the rooms are great value for money. I've never had a major problem in all the times I've stayed."

"Stayed here because a client was situated in North Ryde close to the university. Check in was quick and efficient with free Internet access. Rooms were clean and well furnished - very much like a high end university dormitory. There was a gym but it definitely needs to be improved. The restaurant served decent food and was decently priced. There is no food available at night so make sure you have some stored in the room. Overall a good experience. Will definitely return."

"The Meriton apartments are fairly new, well equipped and quiet despite the location alongside the freeway. North Ryde, however, is a barren concrete jungle so you'd only stay there if you have business there. Or shopping... The apartments are across the road from the Chinese shopping-centre, I mean it's a regular shopping entre but most of the staff and clients appear to be Chinese. Meriton's prices are good but add $20 per day for parking. And park early as they oversell their car park, we found the car park a mess with many more cars than spaces. Other quirks, they just removed all the suitcase-stands and if you ask for one you're told to unpack your case instead. And the kitchen is nice except the dishwasher performs poorly, maybe bad soap-tablets they hand out. And a design fault, there's nowhere in the kitchen for a dustbin so it's kept in the laundry."
