Virginia State hotels & accommodations

March of 2018 I booked this hotel through "Agoda" so myself and friends could participate in Rolling Thunder. Agoda sold me a room with 2 king beds. Upon arrival to the Hyatt Recency Fairfax, I was informed that my room would be one king bed with a pull out couch! Needless to say I was not a happy camper as both I and the person I was rooming with have bad back. I was ...

Hotel had excellent location and was clean. Hotel was reasonably priced considering its location. House keeping unfortunately was way behind schedule each day. Had to wait 2 hours after 4 pm for one room to be ready when we checked in - did receive $40 discount + taxes. However first day's vacation was cut short because of this. Short staffed for house keeping probabl...

This was a HUGE upgrade from your standard hotel. The rooms were clean and large, breakfast was excellent, and the grounds were ideal for a morning stroll before departure. The hotel was very accommodating in setting up a pack and play for us. Oh, and the beds were so comfortable it was intoxicating. To note: The AC was a bit noisy. I slept like a rock, but it di...

I had some trepidation booking this resort after reading reviews about aggressive timeshare selling, service, and cleanliness. As someone who has traveled extensively both for personal and business trips over several decades, I can accurately state this was one of the best stays I have had. The beach is literally right out the door. I had a room with a side view of ...

For $43 a night on a Oceanfront hotel price was perfect. I would not pay any more than that. It was clean and beautiful view and location, but the hoteal is not in good condition good Shape. Breakfast was not the best and was not warm. Juice machine out of order. And they only have a bottle of Orange juice. Pooñ look pretty old and not very nice. Butagain for $43 was...

We were a group of 4 and stayed at the hotel for 1 night, in a room with 2 double beds. The room was perfect for our needs and very clean. The hotel is located close to a shopping center with a bunch of different restaurants. The staff was very friendly and nice and breakfast had plenty of choices. Would definetly stay there again if I was in town again.

We booked the hotel based on the professional photos from the Agoda site however, the actual hotel is far from what's been advertised on the photos (even with a Hilton name on it) and certainly not worth the price we paid for. During check-in we requested for a room on a higher floor and we have been told by the staff that as we booked our room through a third party bo...

The kids indoor pool, you have to go outside and walk to the sister hotel at ocean Beach club which I was not aware of when I made the booking. There was also a 5K race the morning we left and the streets were closed. At check In no one informed us of this, made getting the luggage in the car difficult when you couldn't pull up to the hotel. They could have at least pu...

Almost every aspect of our stay was better than we could have imagined -- the staff was extremely helpful & friendly, access to Colonial W'burg was convenient and FREE via frequent bus service, the facilities & amenities were excellent (for example, well-equipped fitness center, delicious beer & food at Huzzah's, the adjoining restaurant) and the "continental" breakfas...

I usually stay across the street at their sister location turtle cay but they were booked. I gave these guys a shot and they weren’t as luxurious as the turtle cay but overall it wasn’t bad. The only complaint i had was the small bathrooms. I had a suite so i was expecting a large bathroom but the space was so tight it was the size of a bathroom stall at a mall. But st...

The website showed a large colonial style building. My room was down the street in a little 1 story. I knew it was too good for the price I was getting.. The room turned out to be very clean, which was what really mattered. I was only passing through for the night so it worked out.. The room was close to the things I wanted.

Be warned, you must valet your car with the hotel as there is little parking. It costs $25.00 per day. Awkward street curb entrance to hotel with no turnaround, it is also on a one way street. Valet takes 10-20 minutes to retrieve your car. Front desk did not tell valet to retrieve our car one time so it was an extra long wait. They also overcharged us for valet...

Hotel premises very nice. Rooms a bit small and a bit dark. Extra lighting would be nice. No space to open a big suite-case in the room. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, would assume there will be a better selection at Hilton... Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This room was better than I expected. PROS: The room was very spacious, clean, and the bathroom was larger than most hotel bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable and the noise level was amazing. There were guests with small children and we didn't hear them until we stepped outside of our room. The staff were professional and courteous. The breakfast was a nice t...

Booked in at 1am no hot water couldn't take a shower unpacked everything then was transferred to another room had to repackage my stuff when transferred to another room same no hot water. Was booked into a room that I didn't choose which was a superior king with oceanfront no hot water in both rooms to take a shower at the end of the night slept in the car with my wife...

Good value, older and dated, but still very good. The only problem I had where is that the room smelled like smoke. Definitely not a five star hotel, but it has all the necessary items. The staff was extremely kind and very accommodating. Will stay here again.

My first visit to this hotel. It is in a great location... close to Dulles Airport, and you can walk to the many eating houses in the area. The room was nice, and has all the facilities you would expect from this level of hotel. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of both buffet items, and options served at your table. The staff at reception, and in the breakf...

Xanadu is the perfect description for this jewel of a hotel. It's an oasis of peace, beauty, and stunning period architecture, with all the modern day conveniences. It's located in a perfect spot, close to other points of interest yet a point of interest in and of itself. The courtyard is spectacular, amazing trees and flowering shrubs abound and the sounds of a bus...

The lady at the front desk our first night checking in came across rude. I tried to ask if she needed my reservation email cause my phone had died and she cut me off and said id and card you used to pay with. Then she did a long memorized speech about the hotel. Room was clean, maids were friendly, the other two ladies at the front desk were too. One night I did get wa...

We did enjoyed our stay at Econolodge Pottery. We glad since we me the manager and his excellent welcoming manners, a decent person who treat everyone of the guests in a very respectfull way, he is smiling alway and greeting people in a nice way. The location and the services are great. God Bless

The bathroom was nasty had mold in the shower I had my daughter with me and we both had to shower in our socks and then slippers . The trash can was full when we checked in so I took the trash bag out and the bottom of the bin had grown mold and old condoms stuck to it.... I called front desk as there was someone banging on my door asking us to open up ... a bike kept ...

I was in the section with kitchen and it was old. The ceiling was falling appart but it was only my room(the end one) as two of my friends families, theirs wasn’t. But all in all I’m not the type who complaint and think hés gonna get 5star hotel for paying that kind of money! So i give a four because i slept well, sheets was clean, the pool area with the enclose wa...

The facilities were satisfactory. The Room I received was quite a bit larger than I expected, and although room was fairly clean, it was clearly outdated and needed renovations and upgrades. I had some issues with small ants while I was there. My room was on the second floor, and while sitting at the desk and working, I had several ants that started crawling up my leg...

The staff was very nice and friendly especially Ms. Ann the clark that works the night shift . the hotel was close to everything we needed to get to, the parking was a little tight and the elevator was a little slow. but over all it was good the next I am in Virginia Beach I will be staying there Oh and the price was right love my stay did not want to leave ...

Room is cosy with warm lights, convenient location, easy to get around to eateries. Premium outlet shopping mall is a short drive away. Hotel is bricked walled. Breakfast is decent (just no eggs). Staff is warm, helpful and friendly. Indoor pool is heated. Value for money will stay here again if I do visit this place.

We booked a room with a king-sized bed and ended up with two full-sized beds with one night-stand between the beds. There was a chair in the room that was dirty, whose cushion was non-existant, and the arm was broken. Access to the rooms is hindered by the 'design aesthetic' of the outside. The TV was postage-stamp-sized, and even though there were hundreds of channel...

Noisy, poorly insulated, very small room, booked on line for 81.00 front desk produced a receipt for 69.00, refused to reimburse or give me that receipt. Breakfast rom seating for apps 8 people..SO SMALL took a coffee for the road...we have been staying at various sleep inns for the last 10 years. The only good one we have experienced is in smithsfield n.c. This is th...

We stayed for the night of July fourth. Hotel was extremely busy but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to find that our room did NOT have a microwave or a fridge. Nor did the room have any towels. Staff gave us freshly washed towels for the room. But not having a fridge when we had been told that our room came with one was not okay. Overall ex...

But the crab cakes served at the bar after the restaurant closed were sub par. Seemed to be ground up claw meat, no backfin lumps. Could have been served in a 2 star establishment, not a Hyatt Regency. Fix the crab cakes and the place is near perfect.

Not enough elevators for how busy it can get. Bathroom door design doesn't afford much privacy. Sinks make high pitched noise if faucets aren't fully open. Very clean. Excellent staff and facilities. Grain is wonderful with a great beer selection and very reasonable prices and good food/service.

My new wife and I rolled into the resort after the wedding to find an amazingly clean and historically-decorated room for us above the Inn store. We were pushing the late side, but the staff was so accommodating in helping us with room service and the fireplace in our room, making our wedding night extra special! The whole experience and stay was much better than anyth...

I was not expecting to have anything bad to say about this hotel stay. That is until I walked into the bathroom. There was a gunky material left on my faucet handle which was off putting and the grout in the shower needed to be clean. Otherwise the room was fine.

Amazing hotel with phenomenal staff! We truly enjoyed styling here. The amenities are top notch and the hotel is modern and clean, but best of all is their staff. They truly went our of their way to accommodate us after the last big storm. They treated us so well after our long drive, it was heaven on earth. Will definitely visit again and will tell all of my staff to ...

I have been a long time visitor of the hotel, but have seen a steady decline in quality of services. I hate to see the staffing quality decline so much over the past few years. The bathroom trash was overflowing all during the conference and not kept in a clean manner as before. From the valet parking to the service staff, the quality of staff has really been subs...

When we got in the room with extra bed on it and a used plastic fork and spoon on the table. Could be by mistake theres an extra bed or they didnt even bother take it out is debatable but the used for is not an excuse. Even the floor is not that clean. The good side is front desk staff were very nice , the breakfast is a must and a good location near the subway. ...

This was an excellent hotel in great neighbourhood. You can find plenty of food in that area. The best part is that one of the shopping is less than 2 minutes. You will have to find parking elsewhere or pay close to $28 per day. I suggest find parking on near by parking lots from $10 - $20.

I would be delighted to come back to this hotel, the food was first class the staff excellent, they could not do enough for us. My one problem was using AGODA to book my room for 8 days, the worst by far company I have ever used and I travel a lot, don't believe all their wonderful reviews. (fakes) 90% are.

Clean hotel and rooms. Very friendly staff. Couldn’t accommodate our kind room booking so we got 2 doubles and free breakfast! Easy access to Busch Gardens. Didn’t get to enjoy the pool but there were many there soaking up the sun. Had dinner at the on site restaurant and food was good plus great waitress. Highly recommend!

Nothing not to like about the hotel. Nice facility & the staff was fine. Hotel was just a place for us to crash the night before an early flight out of Dulles so needs were very limited (15 mins from airport). Airport shuttle arrangements worked out fine and the hotel parking is free (that was deciding factor versus other hotels we were considering). The location i...

We were on our way to Myrtle Beach and decided to stay off the interstates. After some research I booked the Wise Inn. Could not have made a better choice. Cleanest I’ve ever stayed in (and I am 80 years old). Staff was super helpful. Would go out of my way to stay there again.
Luxury hotels in Virginia State

We stayed for a weekend to do some hiking in the nearby national park. The room is very clean and the bed was great. That was about the extent of the good. There is skeleton staff at best. A single person is sometimes stationed at the front but was not very helpful. When we asked about a 1 hour extension to our checkout time she said yes, at $25/hr. Keep in mind ...
