March of 2018 I booked this hotel through "Agoda" so myself and friends could participate in Rolling Thunder. Agoda sold me a room with 2 king beds. Upon arrival to the Hyatt Recency Fairfax, I was informed that my room would be one king bed with a pull out couch! Needless to say I was not a happy camper as both I and the person I was rooming with have bad back. I was informed by the Hotel Clark that there was not a room in the entire Hotel they had two King beds. They did offer to upsize our room to one with a refrigerator microwave and counter area but still would have a pull out couch for the second bed. This was most gracious of the hotel in my opinion but, the third-party booking site will be hearing from me and I will be contacting Visa about the fraudulent advertisement, as I paid for this hotel with my Visa card. The price point and the bed size is what sold me on this hotel. Agoda will also be hearing from me.

Hotel had excellent location and was clean. Hotel was reasonably priced considering its location. House keeping unfortunately was way behind schedule each day. Had to wait 2 hours after 4 pm for one room to be ready when we checked in - did receive $40 discount + taxes. However first day's vacation was cut short because of this. Short staffed for house keeping probably because there are so many hotels in Virginia Beach. I would recommend staying here because view was excellent and room was very clean with newer comfortable beds but be prepared for delayed housekeeping.

This was a HUGE upgrade from your standard hotel. The rooms were clean and large, breakfast was excellent, and the grounds were ideal for a morning stroll before departure. The hotel was very accommodating in setting up a pack and play for us. Oh, and the beds were so comfortable it was intoxicating. To note: The AC was a bit noisy. I slept like a rock, but it did wake my wife up a few times. Something to note if you are a light sleeper. Additionally, the grounds were very nice, but not exactly stunning like expected from the pictures. Compared to a normal hotel they were exceptional, but I felt it notable. This could easily be as a result of the weather this year rather than a reflection on the general maintenance of the hotel. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend, and will most likely be staying again the next time I pass through.

I had some trepidation booking this resort after reading reviews about aggressive timeshare selling, service, and cleanliness. As someone who has traveled extensively both for personal and business trips over several decades, I can accurately state this was one of the best stays I have had. The beach is literally right out the door. I had a room with a side view of the ocean from the balcony, and it was a great view even without facing the ocean. Everyone, from the valets who were parking and directing guests, to the front desk staff and concierge was friendly, gracious, and helpful. The room itself was absolutely perfect. Full kitchen, a television in the living area and one in the bathroom, balcony with table and two chairs, comfortable furniture and a soaking tub with jets in the bathroom. Everything was clean, all supplies promised were there, including beach towels, extra bathroom towels, etc.

For $43 a night on a Oceanfront hotel price was perfect. I would not pay any more than that. It was clean and beautiful view and location, but the hoteal is not in good condition good Shape. Breakfast was not the best and was not warm. Juice machine out of order. And they only have a bottle of Orange juice. Pooñ look pretty old and not very nice. Butagain for $43 was ok.

We booked the hotel based on the professional photos from the Agoda site however, the actual hotel is far from what's been advertised on the photos (even with a Hilton name on it) and certainly not worth the price we paid for. During check-in we requested for a room on a higher floor and we have been told by the staff that as we booked our room through a third party booking system ie. Agoda, we can only stay in certain floor. We eventually stayed in a room on ground floor which looks out to the carpark with no view. There was no complimentary water in the room (most hotels provide this) and the A/C unit in the room is so old that it makes loud noise every 15 mins when it's turned on so the only way to stop the noise is to turn the A/C off (then the room becomes so hot you'd have to keep turning it on and off the entire night!). The pool as shown in the hotel photo was barely enough for 4 adults let alone swim in it. Worst hotel experience ever, definitely won't recommend it.

The kids indoor pool, you have to go outside and walk to the sister hotel at ocean Beach club which I was not aware of when I made the booking. There was also a 5K race the morning we left and the streets were closed. At check In no one informed us of this, made getting the luggage in the car difficult when you couldn't pull up to the hotel. They could have at least put a flier on the door informing you what time streets were going to be shut down!

Almost every aspect of our stay was better than we could have imagined -- the staff was extremely helpful & friendly, access to Colonial W'burg was convenient and FREE via frequent bus service, the facilities & amenities were excellent (for example, well-equipped fitness center, delicious beer & food at Huzzah's, the adjoining restaurant) and the "continental" breakfast turned out to be a spectacularly hearty full breakfast buffet, featuring bake-your-own-waffle irons! Our only minor complaint was that the heat in the suite's main bedroom didn't travel well through the room's vent system out to the living room/fold-out-couch bedroom, so it was a bit too warm on one end and not warm enough at the other end of the suite -- but the hotel quickly supplied extra blankets upon request! Highly recommend this hotel!

I usually stay across the street at their sister location turtle cay but they were booked. I gave these guys a shot and they weren’t as luxurious as the turtle cay but overall it wasn’t bad. The only complaint i had was the small bathrooms. I had a suite so i was expecting a large bathroom but the space was so tight it was the size of a bathroom stall at a mall. But staff was beyond excellent!!!!

Be warned, you must valet your car with the hotel as there is little parking. It costs $25.00 per day. Awkward street curb entrance to hotel with no turnaround, it is also on a one way street. Valet takes 10-20 minutes to retrieve your car. Front desk did not tell valet to retrieve our car one time so it was an extra long wait. They also overcharged us for valet service on the bill but were happy to correct the mistake when pointed out to them. Hotel is clean, but has obviously seen better days. Rooms are serviceable and provide the basics. They have an in room safe, but no mini bar. There was a vending machine where you could purchase drinks and snacks. We did not avail ourselves of the bar or restaurant so I cannot comment on those services. We came to Richmond to see an art show at the VA Museum of Fine Arts and eat at some great restaurants. We only stayed overnight. For a basic low key hotel experience we feel we got a deal at The Berkley.

This room was better than I expected. PROS: The room was very spacious, clean, and the bathroom was larger than most hotel bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable and the noise level was amazing. There were guests with small children and we didn't hear them until we stepped outside of our room. The staff were professional and courteous. The breakfast was a nice touch. CONS: The walk-in shower needs some type of barrier to prevent water from accumulating on the floor. We had to use several towels to keep water off the floor. A small sitting area would also add a nice touch. Otherwise, we plan to book this hotel again in the future.

Booked in at 1am no hot water couldn't take a shower unpacked everything then was transferred to another room had to repackage my stuff when transferred to another room same no hot water. Was booked into a room that I didn't choose which was a superior king with oceanfront no hot water in both rooms to take a shower at the end of the night slept in the car with my wife traveled all the way from Florida to sleep in my car with a wife that is sick it was supposed to be our honeymoon vacation terrible experience with the Hilton also to get my refund back felt like I was going to get a heart attack as I write now I still haven't got me refund as yet.

My first visit to this hotel. It is in a great location... close to Dulles Airport, and you can walk to the many eating houses in the area. The room was nice, and has all the facilities you would expect from this level of hotel. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of both buffet items, and options served at your table. The staff at reception, and in the breakfast room were excellent. I did not use any of their other facilities, so cannot comment. The hotel is a bit pricey!!

Xanadu is the perfect description for this jewel of a hotel. It's an oasis of peace, beauty, and stunning period architecture, with all the modern day conveniences. It's located in a perfect spot, close to other points of interest yet a point of interest in and of itself. The courtyard is spectacular, amazing trees and flowering shrubs abound and the sounds of a bustling modern city are held at bay by the brick walls that surround the gardens, allowing one to enjoy birdsong in the branches of the towering trees. The rooms are picturesque and inviting, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are modern and well-stocked, and arriving at your room through your own separate entryway made it feel not like a hotel but like home. There is a shuttle to take you wherever you want to go, a terrific café in the hotel that serves fresh and locally made and grown fare, valet parking, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't just a place to stay, it was a place to revitalize one's soul.

The lady at the front desk our first night checking in came across rude. I tried to ask if she needed my reservation email cause my phone had died and she cut me off and said id and card you used to pay with. Then she did a long memorized speech about the hotel. Room was clean, maids were friendly, the other two ladies at the front desk were too. One night I did get waken up at 3am to people down the hall fighting. Didn't wake the baby and they shut up after 10mins. I thinking someone called and complained. Stayed here before and it's usually quiet. They shower was awful this time. It took forever to get hot and sometimes it wouldn't turn on all the way. Figured out how to make it work on day 2 so didn't ask for a room change. Despite this I would stay again and check in earlier
