I booked the room for my son as I was in the emergency room at UofM hospital. Upon his arrival I asked how was the room. He told me it needed to be updated and some of the molding at the baseboard was falling off. He stated the room had a funny odor to it. I have stayed in many hotels and at one point Days Inn was a favorite. I'm sad to say that for as much as I come to Ann Arbor this hotel will not be one of my first choices

It was a Pleasent stay. The only things I didn't really care for were that you couldn't close the draps they have open on each end I guess for show. They only had these whimsical see through curtains up. I felt anyone outside could see in. We had to rig the draps across the curtains and pin them shut in order to feel comfortable. Also, the tv was really fuzzy and made it hard to watch. There was dirty cotton swabs behind the bedside table when we got there. I thought that was kinda gross. I was also surprised that such a nice hotel didn't have a better brand of shampoo and had no conditioner. Most every hotel I've ever been to always has shampoo and conditioner for you. The only other thing, I called the front desk to ask where the ice machine was and was told the only one working is on the second floor. That really surprised me for such a nice hotel. Other then those things, it was a nice hotel and what i paid was a great price I would stay again.

I was skeptical about the price, only $48 for a night at a hotel. But I was desperate, having just come off of two consecutive international flights, exhausted, and arriving in Detroit at 1am. I figured anything that allowed me to lay down and sleep would be good. I was very pleasantly surprised to have been picked up within 10 minutes by the free hotel shuttle, was checked in in under 5 minutes, went to my room, had a nice hot shower, and then crashed on a surprisingly comfortable king-size bed, with an array of pillows from soft to firm, and slept better than I have in a long time! Definitely value for money!

The room was very clean but the shower curtains didn’t do much to prevent water going onto the floor from the shower. We had to use their towels to clean up all the water. Other than that it is a great location, no bugs that we noticed, and free coffee in the morning. The walls are thin and we did get woke up to the sounds of “passion” in the middle of the night but it’s a motel so that’s expected. Hopefully no one had to complain about my girlfriend and I doing the same thing.

Agoda.com is not good for anyone to use if you want the value for your money and don't want to be ripped off like I was. I will recommend everyone to go to Booking.com and they will help you with your reservation cars taxis and more. These people have stolen my money gave me a fake booking number and refused to give me a refund I had to go to my bank to show them evidence of what they did to me in order to get my money back do not choose a goldah.com to make any type of reservation.

I have been going there for the past 10 years. They are letting the hotel run down. Housekeeping is great and staff is great. They need to update and fix things. Our sink was slow to drain. The bath tub and toilet in the same room with sink outside the bathroom as you walk into your room. very small. The breakfast says all star. That is not true. They need to revamp what they serve for the breakfast.

The price for this room I’m sure was inflated as it was the Tulip Festival, which is shameful considering how dirty and outdated this place is. I felt robbed paying what I did for the state of the rooms and the facility. The bathroom was filthy (grout full of mold), the carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was put in, the comforter was dirty, the pillows were flat. Not a place I’d recommend at all.

WE WERE ON A 10 DAY "PURE MICHIGAN" TOUR OF THE ENTIRE STATE. WE FLEW INTO FLINT AND STAYED HERE ON OUR FIRST NIGHT AND WERE SO PLEASED THAT WE BOOKED IT FOR OUR FINAL NIGHT FOR OUR FLIGHT BACK HOME. WE WERE SCHEDULED FOR A VERY EARLY FLIGHT OUT ON OUR FINAL DAY SO WE RETURNED OUR RENTAL CAR THE NIGHT BEFORE AND USED THE SHUTTLE SERVICE AT THE HOTEL. THEY EVEN OFFERED US A BROWN BAG BREAKFAST TO TAKE ALONG FOR THE EARLY FLIGHT. WOULD STAY AGAIN!

The best thing about the hotel was coffee and tea service for 24 hours. It was noisy, people were on the phone all night talking loudly and smoking. I realised that the housekeepers were smoking in my room while I was out. I found out from the smell and burn stain on the blanket. One young receptionist arabic boy was very rude. He kept disturbing me while I was making phone call by ringing the bell constantly just to ask if I was a customer. But the rest of crew was polite.

When I booked this hotel, I did it because it was priced like a budget hotel, and it had two queen beds. I was a little put off by the reviews, but from what I was looking at, there wasn't much else at this price so I took a gamble. It paid off. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, WiFi was good, pool area was good. There were areas for improvement, but they were small nagging things like nothing hot (for free) at breakfast, although still plenty of good food to get you full. The carpet in the hall was a little dingy, but far from gross. And there were places it could have used more maintenance. Anytime I saw, or my wife pointed out one of these thing, we were joking how they should get "one star!" for it. If Wyndham Gardens is supposed to be a luxury brand, then I would knock a few stars off. Nothing was so bad to warrant "one star!" though. One must remember, I paid an economy price. This all the "bad things" are just normal. If you get a good price, don't be afraid to book it

I've stayed here several times and it is hit or miss each time; each experience is different with some being good, others ok, and still others not good at all. -Hotel supposedly has a no smoking policy but every room I've ever stayed in there smelled like cigarette smoke. -Some nights, even during the week, there are people out on the parking lot loitering and making a lot of noise. -The TV channel package is sorely lacking good channels. Better to watch shows on your laptop via wifi. -They often run out of single rooms, and depending who is working the counter, sometimes you can get a double for the price of a single. The nicer black woman will accommodate you whereas the older white woman will NOT! -Breakfast is not worth getting out of bed. -One night I could not sleep because my bed was so uncomfortable. It had a major dip in the middle of the mattress. It was so bad that I actually got out of bed, turned on the a light, and lifted the mattress to see if the box springs or slats were broken. Avoid room #228 is my best advice. -Shower stalls are nice, probably the best feature of this property. -Convenience store right across the street from the front office is very convenient to walk to 24 hrs. -Single rooms have a fridge and microwave while the doubles do not...good to know if they offer you a double for the price of a single when out of singles.

When I booked this hotel, I was hoping to get a quality room, with a clean bed and room, and a pool to cool off in at the end of the day. I also got a great view of Lake Manistee. I got a great and helpful staff. and I got a sit down breakfast. The hotel is a bit older, and it does have it's rough spots, but nothing that is a deal changer. The view out the odd numbered 300 and 400 rooms is great. Lake Manistee is there, but the S.S. City of Milwaukee, a 1930 steamship that has tours. The pool is rather cool, but refreshing. The whirlpool is at 102 degrees and felt nice. There is a "game room" will a few 80s arcade games, as well. Breakfast is at a sit down restaurant just off the front desk. You get a voucher when you check in, and get a choice of 5 meals, which includes waffles, french toast, biscuits and gravy and an omelette. This may be subject to change, but getting a choice of 5 hot meals for breakfast is a plus. I would stay here again.
