Palm Cove hotels & places to stay

Easily checked myself in late at night. Very spacious well furnished apartment. Clean and had everything you needed. Chose this place for its pools and lovely gardens. Staff very helpful with day tour bookings. Easy 5 mins walk to the main Palm Cove restaurant strip and beach. Use the back entrance for a short cut. Bus stop out front, over the road for buses to Clifton beach shops, Smithfield shopping centre or into Cairns itself. So easy. No need to stay at the pricey hotels fronting the beach where you can only swim in the enclosure up the end because of crocodiles and they don’t have such nice pools or gardens either. Only issue is that the air conditioning in the bedroom was cooler than I would have liked it and there’s no way to adjust it.

Sarayi Boutique Resort is excellent value for money. One of the cheapest rooms I could find in Palm Cove, yet prime location and clean modern rooms. Great location, beach straight across the road and leisurely walking distance to all the shops, restuarants and bars along the water front. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. We were upgraded to a hotel style room, it was neat, tidy and plenty of space. All guests of the hotel receive a discount on their meal when they dine at the attached bar/restuarant 'The Rising Sun'. Based on the price and service I will definitely stay at Sarayi Boutique Resort again.

perfect location,great salt water pool and BBQ area,friendly staff,no complaints whatsoever. Good quality uninterrupted wifi access.Once a month Sunday market a real bonus.Wonderful safe cycling paths all around Palm Cove to nearby beaches some through rainforrest along beach.Great place to use as base for holiday.Nice touch to have enough washing powder for first washing machine load.Much appreciated.

Nothing fancy but comfortable and very clean. We had one bedroom apartment which was spacious with all amenities. Wifi was sometimes week, did not work in a bedroom. The hotel is located on a beautiful promenade in front of a nice beach great for swimming. Many barbecue spots around. Convenient location between Cairns and Port Douglas. Excellent spot for Great Barrier Reef exploration, you can book your trip in the lobby. There are many restaurants in Palm Cove, however they are overpriced and quality of food and service was quite poor. You can use bus 110 to Cairns (the stop is just in front of the hotel) but car rental is highly recommended. Otherwise excellent choice.

We booked a family vacay - 3 beachfront bungalows, and enjoyed our stay immensely. I have a 2 year old and she loved the beach and the pool. Unfortunately we went during week and the bar and grill was closed, however there is a lovely Thai restaurant in Clifton beach that does takeaway. Hartleys creek crocodile farm is a short ten minutes drive away so you can go early, beat the heat and the crowds.

We booked The Reef Retreat 3 bedroom apartment for a few days while in Palm Cove. It was great! The apartments are across the road from the actual resort which was no problem. There was a pool right next door to us which only we used! The main area had a great pool and we used their BBQ facilites most nights. Clive at main reception (and his daughter) were so helpful! It had everything we needed!

Was looking for wheelchair-accessible accommodation for a family holiday and this place is absolutely lovely. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and outfitted with fans and air conditioners. Moving around is easy as the doors and corridors are wide, and the elevator is quick and quiet. The staff are upbeat and quick to offer assistance, the pool has a lovely view of the nearby range, and the Palm Cove Esplanade is literally a three-minute walk away in a straight line from the front door.

When I booked this room I did not realise it was through a 3rd party manager so when we went to check in the front desk staff had no record of our booking. The Accor staff were hostile and told me "this is a strata property so that is the problem we get, you have booked through someone else we can't help you" The staff gave me a number to call and that real estate agent had no record of my booking the number on the printout was wrong. After an hour of calls and drama I got through to someone who called the hotel and talked them into giving me a key. Very bad and frustrating experience.

We recently stayed at Sea Temple which is part of the Boutique Collection Private apartments. This was the first time we tried the Boutique private apartments and we can say they did not disappoint. We were still able to utilise all the resort facilities but were able to stay at a reduced rate. Palm Cove is a beautiful secluded location yet has all the amenities. Sea Temple incorporates five star luxury in company with the amazing flora, most notably the paper bark gum trees and tropical plants. A great place to unwind

A pleasant stay in Palm Cove with helpful staff. Good kitchen equipment including a dishwasher and a lift for convenience to the 3rd floor. The view out front was over the beach road and esplanade beach and sea. There was a local store nearby, but we preferred to use a larger cheaper supermarket in the next town. Free wifi, but only really accessible from the pool area or the back bedroom windowsill. We made use of the BBQ area near the pool and facilities were good. Nice quiet accommodation, although this was our most expensive stay in Queensland although it was not my favourite. Younger children would have enjoyed the beach a bit more than my teenagers, but we ended up driving out of Palm Cove for entertainment.

We Loved our stay at peppers! We left our son at home in Melbourne with his grandmother for 4 nights and had such a beautiful holiday. We relaxed by the pool every day and soaked up the sunshine, we stayed only in palm cove on the strip and explored different pubs and restaurants and took in the beautiful views. It was by far the most relaxing holiday We have ever been on, and to make things even better the place we stayed was also very child friendly. We now plan to make a trip yearly to palm cove as a family and bring our son and future children. We highly recommend! The only thing I could mention was maybe play a little bit of music around the pool bar, it doesn’t have to be loud just some relaxing music.

The Melaleuca Resort is not a hotel as such rather a group of small apartments. the furnishings could do with an upgrade as they are looking quite dated but the room as it was had everything one could want. The apartment was tidy and clean on arrival and for the cost that I paid for beach side accommodation it was brilliant. The gardens were superb and the location is just about the best in Palm Cove, right on the beach and in the middle of the restaurant strip. There is no dining on site as all the rooms are self contained apartments with functioning laundry and kitchen. If you're looking for 5 star, then this isn't the place but then again the cost of the rooms is reflective of that. The resort is best described as 3 1/2 - 4 star and for that rating it does it very very well.

The pools were lovely and well kept and we enjoyed the heated one. Always sun loungers available. Obviously a bit of updating is required to rooms and bathrooms but overall we enjoyed the lived in feel of the place and would return if we were to stay in Palm Cove again.We enjoyed the swinging chairs outside the room/ The area at the from of the resort with comfortable chairs was very pleasant to sit and have a drink or a coffee. The breakfast included was a bonus and is certainly an incentive when staying somewhere there is no kitchen.

From the moment you arrive this place treats you like an A-lister! Free champagne and yoga will always win me over. The location is the best in Palm Cove and the venue is one of the best i have stayed in. Perfect for families and couples of all ages. Our 2 bed apartment was huge and provided every amenity and service i could ask for - Miele appliances throughout, cooffee machine, fab mini bar, T2, and much needed AC. Everything is within walking distance and there are so many 5 star restaurants to choose from that you dont even need to eat at the hotel's acclaimed restaurant. For an indulgent holiday this is a certian winner.

Spacious one bedroom apartment, very clean, king bed was extremely comfortable, friendly and caring staff, beautiful pool views and you can bend over and see the ocean (for my apartment with pool views), location is across the road from the beach and a 50 metre walk to the patrolled part of the beach, restaurants all around, the perfect location. One qtr of the pool is adult deep, the rest is semi to shallow. However it is lovely to just to sit and cool off.
