What a wonderful find. Lovely family owned hotel with wonderful views and excellent service. The staff are friendly and attentive, especially Ricardo, mark and Vernon who were always happy to help. We really enjoyed the BBQ (braai) which they hold every two weeks which gives the residence a chance to get to know each other. See you again next year. Tracey and Danny

Our room was located in the new block which was'nt the most central of rooms. Parking was by a rear access road. However th room was spacious and well appointed. A special mention to Mark who was very helpful with my flight problems. Breakfast provided a good choice of dishes and was both fresh and plentiful.

Our stay in Ocean view house was awesome.Every single employees were so delightful in their interactions with us and very helpful. The rooms and every part of the facility is spotlessly clean. Spacious rooms,stunning garden, fish ponds. Breakfast had a very decent cold spread( except salad), and they have hot breakfast options as well which was included in the breakfast .They truly put ther hearts in to keeping this hotel so beautiful. The sunsets should not be missed as it is amazing . We stayed 7 days and 3 days it was windy but then other 5 days,it was absolutely beautiful.We loved this place. There is bus stop right infront of the hotel. We moved to Blue Radisson for 3 days to be close to the waterfront area in CapeTown and we kick ourselves for doing that..It is close to camps Bay (about 15 minutes walk, 4 minutes drive) and lots of restaurants to dine., we liked UMI ,The butcher restaurants in Camps Bay.If we come back we will definitely stay at the Ocean View house

View from hotel is absolutely amazing, with the ocean in the front and the 12 Apostles right at the back. Beautiful sunrise and sunset colour everyday. Me and my boyfriend spent 7 nights here and everything was perfect. Location wise, do not expect to be as lively as in the waterfront, it is a rather quiet but safe location where you can enjoy the silence and escape from the crowd in waterfront. Tourist spots are all in very short distance by car. We either self drove or took uber from the hotel, but if you are looking for cheaper option, there is a myciti bus stop right in front of the hotel. Also I would like to thanks one of the staff there. There was one night where unfortunately I got sick and vomited and we were struggling in finding a hospital near by. Luckily, the 24 hours guard offered us help and recommend a near by hospital to us. So thanks so much ocean view house! We hope to come again in the future!

It luckily happened that we spontaniously made the best hotel choice in Cape Town, as nobody among my friends was to the city before. Everything was beyond expectations - location, staff, rooms, garden, wow breakfast and the ocean views and unforgattable sunsets with whales in the horizon! We were booked here for 7 days to attend to the wedding of my daughter. So glad we picked Ocean View House to be our home the enitre time. The place was fantastic! we loved the landscaped gardens and the views of the ocean and the mountain. The superior room and the milkwood suite were both spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. we felt well taken cared for. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning. We loved the hot croissant and newly cooked omelletes. Each morning, they had a chef's special ( eggs bendecit, 3 cheese omellette, etc) which we enjoyed sampling. Cant wait to come back to this beautiful property!!

This property is nothing short of outstanding. If you like style, luxury, comfort and amazing service, then you've chosen the right place. Beds are super comfortable with the finest Egyptian cotton bedding. The furnishings are tasteful and expensive. Location is ideal, set on the outskirts of Camps Bay away from the noise, but just a short walk from the centre. The grounds are exquisite, set on different levels with the quaintest pond full of Koi Carp. I can't fault the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The cleaners are amazing! Breakfast was superb. Set in a dining room which had views over the Twelve Apostles and ocean. Couldn't be more perfect. I would go back in a shot.

I would have no hesitation in recommending ocean view. The name should also say ‘and mountain’ - both views being amongst the best this traveller has ever seen. The qualities of the place is testified by the numbers coming from all parts of Europe for some winter sun year after year. The hospitality is outstanding and the food and ambience genuinely top class. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Only slight issue is with the wind at the time of year we went- this is effected by the spectacular location in the lee of the twelve apostles and can be very gusty. Overall 9 out of 10

The facility is inviting, with a bright, spacious and clean room. We were in the mountain view which was great value, as the view is still very impressive. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff really were excellent in all respects. We only stayed one night in Camps bay but would stay again at Ocean View

Definitely need to have a car if you want to access the whole of the Cape but a perfect location if you want to stay local. Easy access to buses and local transport. Kitchen staff are exceptionally lovely and will do anything to make you feel at ease. Reception staff are incredibly helpful and will arrange anything on your behalf. Just a lovely lovely lovely little place to stay. Comfortable and clean with panoramic views. What more could one ask for?

Beautiful view of the sunsets on the ocean”
Our room was on the pool deck and had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. We found it very quiet and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast had many selections of fruit and breads as well the chef would prepare eggs to your likening. Each day there was a breakfast special. Lunch was available for a charge however we were always out and did not eat there. As is commom to most of South Africa we were encouraged not to walk after dark and to take a taxi if we were in Camps Bay for supper.
