"I had a fantastic stay at North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the view of the harbour was unbelievable. Staying in North Sydney was nicer, quieter and more relaxed alternative to staying in central Sydney, which was only a short taxi ride away in any case. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and will absolutely be staying there again in the future. "

"Overall I was very pleased with my stay at Rydges North Sydney Hotel. Although the hotel did seem a bit way far, but I think I was still good. The rooms were very spacious and I enjoy very bit of it. Oh, did I mention they have a buffet inside the hotel. Their buffet was delicious. I had a piece of catfish; it was marvelous like it melted away in my mouth. Other than the great buffet and room, I’ll think you will have a great stay and comfy satisfaction. "

Sydney Hilton $100 Hawaii 5 star resort - $50 us - apartment in north Sydney $250 something doesn’t add up "

"The hotel is very homely - it's a lovely old building in North Sydney, and an easy walk to meetings in Crows Nest and North Sydney CBD. It has a pretty garden in the front, set out with tables to enjoy the morning sunshine or an evening glass of wine. There is no restaurant on site, but the reception was very helpful with dining ideas (and there are loads in walking distance) or happy to dial a taxi or room delivery meal in from a local restaurant. I found it really charming actually. The rooms are simple and like many hotels, a bit character-less, but functional and clean. I would choose the North Shore Hotel over many of the 'named' hotels in North Sydney."

"Pros: happy with the spacious units that came with kitchen, laundry, and balcony. Cons: unfortunate that the receptionist told me that 2 separate bookings cannot be combined into a single receipt. I’ll be staying 5 straight nights (1 night for 1 booking, plus 4 nights in another booking). It’s just that I’ve done this in other hotels before and they had no issues combining it into a single receipt, so I’m disappointed with that. Note: I think this is perfect for business travelers whose office is in North Sydney, but for tourists wanting to spend most of their time in Sydney CBD, then they should consider booking Meriton Suites from CBD area. Recommendation to hotel. We are staying 5 nights and did some groceries for cooking such as oil. We can ofcourse just buy the big bottles from the grocery. I would recommend that the hotel makes small cooking essential set (oil, soy sauce, butter, etc) in small portions which comes with the room, or these sets can be sold to people staying."
