AMAZING ”
We only stayed one night but it was fantastic. The hotel lobby was dark and funky and the front counter staff were friendly and professional. Most importantly was the exceptional standard of our room. Clean, beautiful furniture and had all the amenities we needed. We will be back.

If only apartments had air conditioning...”
Apartments DO NOT HAVE AIRCON!! Incredible facilities except that the apartments are “green” and rely on cooling from breezes and fans. We stayed on a warm night and ended up going to reception to check out - we wouldn’t have slept a wink! Fortunately the hotel portion wasn’t fully booked so we were moved to one of the air conditioned hotel rooms which was also lovely. There is heating in the apartments, so winter wouldn’t be a problem, but summer is a definite gamble!! Staff were fantastic, amenities were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay, just wish we knew the challenges of the apartments in advance- we definitely would’ve booked the hotel room from the start!!

THE STAFF ARE AMAZING”
I would come back here just for the staff and the coffee. Only down fail if you are scared of heights ( get a lower floor room) and there is no air conditioning. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and the staff here are amazing!!!!

love this hotel it was our second stay here, we stayed in the apartments which we loved besides the very bare and basic bathroom which was disappointing- heated towel rack didn't work, no place to put your toiletries, no bath and lights didn't work. Besides that it was awesome and the kids loved staying in the cool raised bedrooms. m.

Very poor aircon. Only had a small portable unit which you had to fill with water yourself and did not cool down the apartment

Disappointed ”
Room was hot, but no AC. Left the doors open to cool it down and came back to find it full of bugs. No room service. On occasion called the front desk multiple times and never got an answer. Broken light in the bathroom. Lots of road noise. No blackout curtains. Comfy bed, lovely view.

All around - great place to stay ”
Arriving in the morning we were greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. Easy check in, easy taking care of storing our luggage. When we returned early in the afternoon, a coffee made the wait for the room to be finished shorter - need to mention WE were earlier then check in time, so this was a nice touch after they rushed to catch up after a busy weekend. Great staff. Our apartment on the 14th floor had a big balcony and the best view ever : Lake and all the important buildings spread out ! Brekkie looking at the Parliament House is a wonderful experience. Room and Bathroom was super clean, bed comfy, all conveniences in the kitchen. Foyer is quirky, concrete mixed with comfy retro furniture, a gas fire and a well stocked bar. Location is great. Very recommendable; we will stay there again next time in Canberra ! Thanks to the Team at Nishi Apartments for a pleasant time.

Stylish & Functional Short Stay”
Excellent layout of my "Studio/1 Bedroom" apartment with everything I could possibly need for a short stay. Loved having the Hotel bars & restaurants just downstairs and a nice view of spectacular Canberra sunsets. Great location.

If you want quirky accommodation, fabulous staff and excellent food I highly recommend Nishi Apartments - our dinner at Monster was excellent - 4 of us had 5 shared dishes which we all enjoyed - each dish was cooked superbly

Buyer be aware”
Something to be aware of which I didn't realise. There is no air-conditioning in the apartment. It was however built to get a cross breeze to cool the apartment down but this requires opening external facing doors/windows that look over a (not very busy) freeway. We chose not to keep the apartment as it was summer and we did not want to do this, preferring air-conditioning. Reception very kindly switched us to one of the Hotel Hotel rooms instead. What I saw of the apartment was beautiful with great views. Still a great compound and area to be in.

Great view at a great price”
Love the spaciousness of the apartment. Felt safe and secure with lots of natural light. Facilities are great with a kitchen that has a stove and oven. Note these apartments are designed for natural cooling so dont have air conditioning which on the hot days would have been nice. However, they do get a breeze to help cool down due to buildings design.

Lovely 2 bed apartment”
Stayed over winter and didn’t have to use the heater as the apartment was so well designed. Very comfortable beds with toppers. Bosch washing machine and dryer. Kettle, toaster, oven and hot plates with all the kitchen equipment you would need. TV had a Disney channel so the kids were happy. The only let down was an old crappy foam couch that only fitted 2 people and would sink right down so constantly adjusting. We were in a great spot and found free parking across the road from 6pm to 9am in a 2 hour zone so effectively from 4pm to 11 am. Would definitely stay again

Nice view and unique”
The decor was nice and unique. We stayed in an apartment with nice view of Black Mountain. However, parking was really expensive at $35 per 24hrs, unless you chose to park at street side where it’s free outside of office hours. It should be noted that there are no air conditioning, as it was designed to be a green building. We stayed there when temperature was low, it happened to be the cooler days of the week during that period. Our 1st night was a bit warm but 2nd night was ok.

Makes a business trip seem fun”
Cool apartment. Comfortable bed. Fluffy towels. View of the hills. Love the restaurant and casual hangout area. It’s a very comfortable place to stay with great wifi, and I feel very safe walking solo in new action. Or going to a Palace movie in the building. Building is eco ... ie no aircon and slept with the veranda door open and fans on. That was fine when I figured out that I needed the natural airflow. Staff are very nice and make me feel at home.

Great happy hour. Apartment had view of hills which was pretty at sunset. Comfortable beds. Wonderful food at the restaurant. And I got to see a movie after a day of work as there is a cinema in the building. Had a choc craving and the lovely man at the desk found me some little chocs! What more could I ask on a work trip

The apartments were great but a few little things were missing. There was no shower-cap, a tray with food left by the previous room guests sat outside our room for the first day before it was taken away.
