Nelson Bay hotels & places to stay

Had a lovely stay here! The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The look of the building from the outside is bland, and as you enter the building the place looked run down, however when I entered my room on the 2nd floor, it was very spacious and clean and had everything you could ask for. The view was beautiful, and the balcony was great for watching the sun set over the waters of Nelson Bay Marina. Will stay here again and recommend this to friends and family who are looking for good value accom in the heart of Nelson Bay. *I didnt eat at the resort so cannot comment on the 'food/dining' aspect of the review, however I have given it a 5 rating due to the rest of my stay being perfect.

Our stay at the Landmark Nelson Bay was quite pleasant. Our room was clean and it good order, It was perfect for the 3 nights. The kitchenette was ample for our needs for our stay, Our balcony had a great view of Nelsons Bay and Port Stephens and a easy walk to the centre of Nelsons Bay and the Marina. The furnishings in the unit were good, We stayed in a one bedroom spa unit and it was perfect for just the 2 of us. The Landmark has a great pool, there was always plenty parking. We stayed at the Landmark during Christmas school holidays and it was busy, But the pool was never crowded. On of the highlights of the Landmark was the pool and area surrounding pool. Over all i would recommend the Landmark Nelson Bay, The Accommodation was of a good quality, reasonable value, good location and view, And close walking distance to some great restaurants and the the waterfront.

So close to the marina, you can jump in and swim with the dolphins from your balcony. Just a short stroll through the arcade, which is practically in the resort, you are in the heart of Nelson Bay. You don't even need to start your car on your whole trip as everything is under your doorstep. Great cafe at the reception of the hotel and staff so friendly. Only bummer of the trip is that we had no TV reception. The staff told us that if we had spoken up, then they would have fixed it. Never mind, they offered us a discount rate for our next visit to the resort. We will definitely go back there again one day. The whole family loved the resort and Nelson Bay is a lovely place.

I found ease of location, just a good distance from the town centre, the area was quiet within a suburban street. On arrival the receptionist looked somewhat anxious as he had been trying to contact me regarding my booking. The good news was that i had been ujp-graded but he still looked tentative even after I expressed my pleasure at this surprise. Then he said but it is upstairs. This was no problem to me and it was great to see his relief. I felt that this place genuinely wanted to meet my needs and please me. Everything was well explained to me and the young man even offered to take my bag upstairs - I did not need this but the offer was gratefully received. I found the room elegant and met all my needs. It was clean and had all the detail attended to in a professional manner. I loved the simplicity of the table runner placed at an angle across the bed with matching cushions and tissue box cover. the art work had been carefully chosen to complement the colour scheme of the above, and truly the pillows were the softest I have ever slept on. I came in last at night and the normal parking spots were taken. Immediately a window opened on the second floor with someone to let me know where I could park. My reason for being in Nelson Bay was to attend a funeral on the following afternoon. I did't want to dress for it in the morning and asked if I could return at lunch time to change. They were only too happy to give me the use of a room for the few minutes I needed and I was very appreciative of this extra service to me. All in all and very good experience.

Location is great / but no views from apartments close proximity to club & Marina though.. self contained appartments have all you need to be self sufficient. Staff are friendly & helpful. Pool area was being upgraded but was still useable & heated which was a nice surprise. Wifi is available free only a small amount though with older children using it up fairly quickly. & phone service for internet slow only 1 bar in the room. Which made the teenagers come out & be social & converse with adults. Rooms we had were tidy & in line with our expectations. Even exceeded when we realised there was a spa in the bath room. We loved the venue & will return it has been our favourite place to stay in Nelson’s Bay.

From all the reviews we were looking forward to staying at Nelson Bay. We had about 6 motels and accommodation places before we landed at Nelson Bay. Upon meeting the owners we felt like it was home and were at ease. The rooms were so clean and all the conveniences of home. Trish and Iain couldn't do enough for us with booking out some places to see and gave us a great over look at all the points of interest around Nelson Bay .We will be returning back here next year .

It was great as we received a complimentary room from the motel. At first when we booked the room, the max occupancy is 4 and we have 5 in our group. I was thinking to request for an extra bed so that the room can fit 5 of us. Unfortunately the room has a double + single bed which can only fit 3 of us. The owner (which i guessed he is) of the motel gave us another room next door which allowed us to rest well, he is very generous and kind, and of course friendly all the time. It was my bad for not choosing the correct room however we appreciate his understanding and kindness. The motel is located not far away from Nelson bay, just a few minutes drive, the room is small but tidy and you can't expect too much as it's a motel. We enjoyed our stay and we had a good rest there. Appreciated.

very new and very well furnishing 2 bedroom apartment, very comfortable stay. with walking distance to nelson bay, very convenient location. this is not a service apartment nor a hotel. we arrived after the reception is closed. the main gate was closed without clear direction how to check in. we had to make telephone calls to the reception which was directed to the after office hours answering services who handled our call very unprofessionally. we had made at least three calls before we got in. the unit we were allocated does not have a parking lot in the basement of the building. we had to upload the luggages, moved them to the unit, then went down and parked the car in other building. the whole process very frustrating. no daily housekeeping services.
