We were so glad to have stayed at Japan Hotels Gojo-Muromachi in Kyoto! The room is well-appointed, bigger than what we expected and super clean! It's near a train station and also accessible for bus trips. We were able to visit a couple of amazing tourist spots and quaint places during our stay. There's so much more to explore in Kyoto, a lovely place, and will definitely stay in this hotel again. Highly recommended!

Good location and affordable. ”
I always thought Japan hotel is expensive. But this apartment is value for money. Location is near to Gojo station. The family room is very clean and big with 2 double bed, washer and dryer, a small kitchen. There isn't any housekeeping but I am fine with it. The hotel surrounding have a mini mart, macdonald and reataurants etc. Overall excellent apartment. Will definitely come back when I am in kyoto.

Review of Hotel & location ”
Would highly recommend you to choose this hotel if this is your first trip to Japan. It’s a mini version of Japanese home and the bathroom is awesome. You may wash your laundry and dry it there. Location is near to Gojo Station. So you may easily access to many places like Gion District, Nishiki Market, Kyoto Station and many more. Would suggest you to take taxi to and from Kyoto Station if you carrying heavy luggage.

Strategic Location & Spacious Room”
This place is located strategically at central which is just one station away from Kyoto station. Just 2 minutes walk from Gojo Station exit. I arrived before 12PM and they allowed me to check-in early without any additional charge. Truly appreciate it! Staffs are friendly and helpful. This is not a hotel room but a studio room like AirBnB style so don't expect daily housekeeping with breakfast. The room is spacious in terms of Japanese standard size. There is a door to separate the kitchen and bathroom. Room amenities is superb which include all the toiletries, washing machine, microwave, fridge and kitchen (cooking utensils on rental). I love the layout and the single bed is huge & comfortable. Extra pillow is provided upon request (if available). You can't walk to all the attractions but you can just take the subway (easy accessible). There is a 24 hours convenience store in front of this hotel. This place is located on the small alley but it is safe. I will come back again! TQ

Excellent choice”
We were so happy with this hotel! There was a good amount of space which we have found hard to find with our other accomodation in Japan. It had a kitchenette which was super useful and an in-room washing machine with drying system in the bathroom which was a dream as we are traveling with a toddler! Everything was super clean, well kept and in a nice style. It could have done with a couple of hooks for towels and maybe some drawer space so we weren’t literally living out of the suitcase, but for a hotel at this price and location (right near Gojo train station) it was a total win. It was really very quiet and staff were friendly and really helpful too. I would highly recommend!

Nice stay”
The room and washroom is spacious. The small kitchen and washing machine are very useful. Very close to Gojo subway station and bus station. About 10++ minutes walk to Kyoto Station. The only downside is a bit noisy, the noise came from other guests staying the room above our floor. Highly recommended for family and kids. Will book this hotel again next time.

Good low fuss hotel ”
After having my AirBnB cancelled because of the new laws in Japan, I found this hotel. The place is large and has all that you need. I had a kitchen, laundry and full bathroom. There is a Konbini 50 metres up the road for any supplies you might need. There are restaurants nearby in all directions. The location is only minutes away from Gojo station. There's no 24-hour desk but this is part of the low fuss charm.

Very nice place to stay in Kyoto”
The hotel is very near to Gojo station, around few minutes walk. It’s also very near to bus station by which we can go to many tourist spots. We lived in a double room. The room is spacious and clean. Staff at the front desk were very kind. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I travel in Kyoto.

Not a hotel, but not bad”
This is more like a serviced apartment, not a hotel. They do not clean rooms every day. However, they give you facilities such as mobile which you can take with you for data and local calls, washing machine as well as cooking range. Very helpful staff as well. Do note that they are not close to a JR station (in case you have a JR pass) - you have to change over to another train line to get to Gojo station, from where they are close to. This is a pain if you have luggage and are using Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto like us. You can also take the taxi, which will cost around 1500 yen if you have luggage - it is about a couple of kilometers away from Kyoto station.

Pleasant and Adequate ”
The location is perfect for a quiet stay. It’s a few minutes away from Gojo station (1 stop from Kyoto station). It’s in a housing area so it’s safe and quiet. There’s also a mini mart nearby. The room itself has everything you need. Most notable is the “Handy” phone they provide- it has 4g and you can bring it on your sightseeing trips! Would highly recommend to others, and would definitely come again. ♥️

Good for long stay in Kyoto”
Love the kitchenette which is equip with microwave, electrical hob & hood. Washing machine & drying facility is also provided. It is actually a studio unit feel. The bedroom is spacious with a small 2 persons dining table. The only thing is the kitchen utensils have to rent for a fee of 500 yen. Gojo subway station is nearby which is 1 station away from Kyoto main station (about 15 min walk away).

Great Spacious Apartment”
The apartment is around 10min walk from Gojo station which is one station away from Kyoto Station. The area is quiet at night and there is one convenient store nearby to grab your late night snacks. The apartment is quite spacious for 2 person stay and it gives out homely vibe. You can also rent pots and pans if you want to cook in your room.

Recommended, best place ever I stayed in Kyoto! Suitable for large group and families with kids ”
Location are closed to “Gojo subway” which is about 3-5mins walk. Nearby there’s convenience store called “Mini Stop” which you can buy all goodies to eat and drinks. Staff were friendly and really helpful with all the surrounding area stuff, and “Good English speaking”. Room were very clean and tidy, two bed enough to fit a families with two kids reckon the bed size around 120 to 140cm like single king? Have 4.5kg washing machine and dryer in the bathroom which you can washed and hang inside to dry your clothes. In bath tub got a mini tv on the wall which u can enjoy while you’re bathing. They have a kitchen but you need to hire the kitchen tool for cooking around ¥500 per set. Overall very satisfied with our stay and price are good for families. Recommended

Exceptional”
We stayed here with our two kids, 10 & 13. The room was spacious enough to accommodate the four of us. The washing machine was very handy. There's a Yoshinoya restaurant around the corner which we ate at a couple of times for breakfast, they open at 8 am. There's also a McDonald's across the street from Yoshinoya. There's a really popular Soba noodle restaurant a block away. On New Year's Eve there were probably 50 or more people in line trying to get in. We used Kyoto as our base and also traveled to Osaka and Hiroshima. This location was quite convenient to get around. The walk from downtown Kyoto to the hotel was around 20 minutes. The room was very clean. There isn't someone at the desk at all hours. I think the front is only staffed from 9am-10pm. This place was very good value and I would stay here again.

Easy access to Kyoto”
Close to Gojo Station (2nd station after Kyoto Station). You can collect your keys from the key box when arriving at odd hours. Very cool. Room equipped with washer, microwave oven. Other kitchen utensils available at a fee. The room was surprisingly spacious unlike the typical business hotels in JP. Highly recommended

Great staff, close to GoJo subway which is first stop out from Kyoto MainStation (210 Y fare). Facility is well equiped with all the comforts of home including clothes washing machine in room with soap provided.

Exceeded Expectation”
We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. When we first entered the room, we were fascinated. Every room has a laundry and kitchen, almost like a studio apartment. Very clean. The pictures are accurate. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is near gojo station. Definitely need bus pass if want to visit tourist attractions.
