"i was visiting sydney on my own and found this to be a great base for my city sightseeing. the main attractions of sydney can be reached on foot from here, plus it's a short walk to central station and nearby trams/monorail. i didn't use all the facilities, but these included a roof-top pool and sauna which looked good. good laundry facilities and the rooms were typically basic in the style of backpacker accommodation, but very clean and well maintained. i had a private double and would recommend such a room for couples, young families for budget travel in the city. the area is surprisingly quiet for the inner city, which made the stay relaxing."

"This hotel is very close to the Central station and that si what sets it apart from other hotels. You can easily travel anywhere from this hotel. There are many restaurants nearby including the spice market allley and Paddy’s market. Chinatown is a few blocks further. The staff was very helpful with every request and also in helping us explore Sydney. All in all I will stay here again if I come back to Sydney and I will tell my friends about this hotel"

"I stayed at this hostel twice now as I vacationed in Sydney. I have to say, I had an amazing experience both times. I came as a solo traveler the first time and found this place as an amazing place to meet others like me, and make my stay feel like home, and like one long party. Everyone’s so friendly and the place is clean. I returned with my other half, because I had such a great experience. This time we got a single double bed room, and had another great experience. Whether coming single, or with a significant other, this place is located so conveniently and worth every penny. Thank you for the hospitality! "

"My usual hotel was fully booked so i was reccommended the y hotel - it was excellent. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, a good location near to the redfern station. Only a short walk to chinatown and all the delights of dixon street. Scruffy murphys pub which has the best value entertainment and meals 7 days per week and close to darling harbour with all its fun and beautiful sights and good deal pubs. A great walk down george street to the rocks and circular quay for more live free music in almost every pub plus a huge variety of restaurants then it is a pleasant stroll or bus ride back to the y hotel to crash. A big free continental breakfast in the morning. Great place to stay - can hardly wait to go back and do it all again."
