We stayed 3 days 2 nights and had a great experience overall. The room was comfortable, and although we had a minor shower issue, it was fixed very quickly by the staff. The breakfast spread was excellent with lots of variety. Special thanks to the Indian chef who made egg thosai for our son, it was delicious and thoughtful. The hotel is family-friendly and highly recommended for those traveling with kids.
We recently stayed at Hilton and, as loyal Hilton guests, we’ve always appreciated the exceptional standards the brand upholds. While our overall experience was delightful, it began with a rather long wait at check-in. Despite arriving at 4pm, we queued for nearly an hour—a challenge especially with our 10-month-old baby who grew understandably restless. It was disappointing, but the staff made a sincere effort to make amends by offering complimentary cookies and a late check-out, which we truly appreciated. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was courteous, attentive, and accommodating to our requests. The breakfast spread was splendid—varied, fresh, and well replenished. Despite the morning rush, we were quickly seated and looked after with great care, thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the team. The room was as comfortable as expected, with Hilton’s signature beds and serene ambience providing a restful escape. We had a lovely stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Penang during our recent family trip with our 3-year-old. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, helpful, and made us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The food at the hotel was also great, with a good variety and quality that both adults and kids could enjoy. The location is convenient, especially if you’re planning to explore around Batu Ferringhi and nearby attractions. Travelling with a toddler can be challenging, but the hotel made it easier for us. Our child felt comfortable and happy throughout the stay, which says a lot! That said, there were a couple of things that could be improved. When we first entered the room, it felt a bit damp and had a noticeable wetness in the air—it may have been due to the humidity, but better ventilation or dehumidifying could help. Also, the parking area felt quite tight and congested, especially during peak check-in/check-out hours, which made maneuvering a bit stressful. Overall, we had a very good experience and would definitely consider staying here again. A few small fixes would make this stay near perfect!

“The best family resort in Penang Island so far”
I recently had the pleasure of spending 5 nights at the DoubleTree by Hilton Penang, and I must say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish! From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome and friendly service from the staff made me feel right at home. Although the check-in process was not really smooth due to high occupancy during school holiday and had to wait, I do appreciated the delicious warm cookie offered upon arrival—a delightful touch! Concierge and security personnels are very attentive, providing helps 24/7. The room 422 assigned at first night was not comfortable as the AC was turned down at 2am but million thanks to Mr Danny the Duty Manager for his great effort upgrading me to another spacious, beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean family room. I loved the stunning views of the sea and the surrounding area, which made for a perfect backdrop during my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, fluffy pillows ensuring our family got restful nights of sleep. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, which had a fantastic view of the coastline, and the wellness center was great for keeping up with my daily fitness routine. The dining options were also impressive; breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Buffet dinner was incredibly amazing, thanks to all the F&B crews not to forget Chef Amir, Chef Faizal, Ieyda, Rudi, Izeril, and all the hardworking internship students Husna, Najwa and Hamizah. Overall, my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Penang was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I can’t wait to return!
