"A very clean hotel. It is newly opened. My room was rather small and cramp, which is expected of Tokyo hotels. Many amenities besides the basic toiletries were provided. The bathroom was designed to look like your very own private onsen. The view from my room on the 21st floor was superb. The only gripe I had was that the bed was too small. It is a super single bed. Too cramped for 2 adults and 1 small child. The other thing is the blinds. It is not enough to keep sunlight out in the morning and the sun rises at 4am in Tokyo. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants and convenience stores just below the hotel and it is just within 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station. The service from the staff at the front desk was excellent. I asked many questions and directions to the attractions in Tokyo and they took the initiative to look up from the internet whatever they did not have answers to."

"When we arrived, we realized that our booking put us all on smoking rooms. The helpful staff managed to put us on non-smoking but we still need to stay two nights at smoking rooms as at the time they have no non-smoking room for the whole duration of our stay. We found that the smoking room has better bed with some sort of memory foam or latex foam lining on top. The hotel is about 10minutes walk away from the JR Shinjuku station. For us it is not a long walk and we think it is a good distance but not too far because Shinjuku station is very busy. There are two mini marts and there are plenty of restaurants too on the hotel premises. You can find several more between hotel and Shinjuku station. Rooms are clean, although a bit small as most other hotels in Tokyo are. Sometimes the wait time for the elevator can be quite long although there are six elevators. Our first local tour's meeting place (Yakoso) is right at the hotel and airport Limousine bus can take us directly to the hotel and we can purchase return tickets to airport right at the hotel as well. This is a big plus because we have quite a few luggages. We think this is the most convenient hotel we have stayed. Distance from the JR station is just right and you can find quite a selection of food at the hotel too: Japanese, Chinese, Western, even an Indian food restaurant."

"Stayed here for 6 nights. Good location right next to the elevator exit of Tawaramachi station, great to walk around the traditional neighborhood of Asakusa. Check-in process is a little bit weird with you having to enter your information on a touch screen. TINY room that barely allows you to put and keep your luggage on the floor all the time, with just a couple of hangers on the wall and no wardrobe. Being so tiny and with a window that does not open, the air can get a bit stuffy. Bed is comfortable, and staff cleaned the room everyday providing new toiletries and clean yukatas, that you can wear to sleep or to go to the public baths on the 14th floor (the best part of the hotel!). They are separated by gender, with a few individual seating showers to clean yourself before soaking in the big common baths (a big one indoor, a smaller one outdoor, and two individual outdoor baths), where you can socialize with other naked people. They include free breakfast in the Komeda Café downstairs, with 3 set options to choose from (best one is the toast with red beans). It's very nice and filling, but can get a little repetitive if you are staying many days. After our 6 nights stay in this hotel, we went to stay in another area of Tokyo for 3 nights, and on the last day we had to pass nearby this hotel to take the train out of Tokyo. It was early, we had some things to do around there, and we had a lot of luggage that didn't fit in the public coin lockers in Tawaramachi station, so we asked if we could leave them in the hotel for a couple of hours. They refused because we were not "currently" staying there, which I can kind of understand (even though we had just stayed there 6 nights!), but it would have been a nice gesture and avoid us the hassle to go to Ueno station to find bigger coin lockers. "This was the 2nd time I stay with this hotel again, overall staff are professiional and room is clean, bigger size than other standard Tokyo hotel, this time hotel staff perform much better than last time when I stay here. Only one thing I would suggest is the airport shuttle bus, it would be much better if they can extend their last route up to midnight 1:00, to have the same service hour as the one opposite their hotel. I took night flight and arrive Haneda airport in the midnight, experienced that when we tried to catch the shuttle bus for the last route at 12:40 am, it was just 1 minutes late and just watch the bus gone, if they can extend 10~20 minutes later would be much better."

"You cant go wrong with an APA hotel, when in Japan. I have stayed in several and they are very clean, compact, and usually in an ideal location. This one is situated right in the heart of Shinjuku and 10 mins walking dist from the station. Its perfect if you are wanting to stay in Tokyo central for a few nights as JR lines are near, shopping district and the ambience of shinjuku park. Great for business travel or stopping off in Tokyo for a few nights."
