"My friend and I stayed in a twin room with an ensuite- a nice, comfortable room for a hostel. (Some kind of soap holder would have been appreciated in the shower, though the bathroom was clean and water pressure was good!). All the accomodation in Sydney was very pricey during the weekend of the stay- given the fact, the cost of the room was reasonable. Beds were quite comfortable (double bed + trundle), there was a tv in the room (but no wifi) and the hostel is in a great location. Staff were friendly and we also appreciated the 'cinema' room, which has nightly movie screenings. There are also lockers downstairs where you can put your belongings after checkout ($4 for the first 4 hours and then $2 for the next 4 I think). The staff also helped us to book a YHA discount for the Aquarium. Unfortunately it was quite noisy on Saturday night (seemed mostly to be coming from drunks and hoons on the main road) but Sunday night was much quieter. Would stay there again if on a budget!"

"Hotel location is very good, walking distance to Sydney town tourist spot, such as Sydney tower, St mary's cathedral sydney, Chinatown, Paddy's market, Darling harbour side, and Town hall MRT station and so on... Cleanliness of hotel room is 10/10 provide daily room cleanning sevices... The room interior design is comfortable and look like new... provide mini frige, hair dryer, TV... if u booking for 3 people as me then got a queen bed and a single bed then the single bed have own TV, this is what i am surprising... The hotel staff is nice and willing to provide useful information... Only the thing no convenience is no Wifi/need to pay money... but most of hotel in sydney are same... Environment of hotel, u can find the restaurant around this hotel easily... "

"I stayed at this hostel twice now as I vacationed in Sydney. I have to say, I had an amazing experience both times. I came as a solo traveler the first time and found this place as an amazing place to meet others like me, and make my stay feel like home, and like one long party. Everyone’s so friendly and the place is clean. I returned with my other half, because I had such a great experience. This time we got a single double bed room, and had another great experience. Whether coming single, or with a significant other, this place is located so conveniently and worth every penny. Thank you for the hospitality! "

"had to book a hotel in sydney in a hurry. after going through hundreds of hotels in various websites i decided to book 'devere hotel'in potts point. probably i was lucky to get a really good deal. per night for a single room suited my budget well (believe me sydney hotels are expensive). i was not impressed by the comments about this hotel but decided to take a chance. location is convenient. 500m to the kings cross railway station and the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. woolworths across the road (and coles situated 500m away) is always handy. room was quite satisfactory, bed was comfortable, reverse cycle ac keeps you warm in winter, hot water was great and housekeeping was good. reception was great at helping the customers. unable to comment on food as i could not eat from the restaurant. if only they provided free wifi ....but none of the sydney hotels give you free wifi (except backpackers) overall i was really impressed by the quality of the hotel and the room considering the price. hope that they would maintain the good standard so that i would not have to hesitate in choosing devere hotel next time around in sydney. "My family stayed at ValueSuites for 1 night when we had a long layover in Sydney. We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early, which was helpful since we were traveling with a 1 year old. They also allowed us to check out late since our flight was in the late afternoon the following day. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. ValueSuites is conveniently located close to the Green Square train station which allowed our family to travel easily to downtown Sydney as well as Bondi beach. And while there are no restaurants close by, there is a Woolworths about a 6 min walk away which has good food and since our room had a refrigerator and microwave we were able to make some small meals when we were unable to travel for food. We would highly recommend the ValueSuites to everyone! "

"We spent 4 nights at Adge as two guys mostly looking for nightlife. We'd both visited Sydney on prior occasions and were less concerned with the more obvious tourist spots, although you can walk to Circular Quay in about 15-20 mins and there are buses that go to Bondi just nearby. Aussie hotels generally seem quite expensive (partly due to the FX rate) so we figured that if we were going to have to pay, we would do it in style and Adge did not disappoint. Staff were incredibly friendly and could not do enough for us - the main reception/concierge person that we dealt with (Chris) was extremely knowledgeable of the local area and gave great personal recommendations of place to eat and drink around Surry Hills, which is a very trendy part of town with lots of cool bars, coffee shops and eateries. The room itself was very modern and well equipped with upscale goods (e.g. a Smeg fridge, high end LED TV) but the thing that set it apart was again the staff - personal touches like a weather forecast for the next day included in the turn-down service made a difference. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Adge for a visit to Sydney"
