"We spent 2 nights there over the Australia long weekend.. I think we paid about $170+ for a budget cabin. Not sure if the price is reasonable. This place is great. The beach is beautiful! I do not recommend if you want to camp there as they are a lot of permanent residence. Some sites can be between 2 cabins. I wish they can update the pool a little. There is only one small slide and it's quite old. The only down side is there is NO phone coverage. We are with Optus, Vodafone and Telstra. Can't get even a bar most of the time. They only give 150MB (or was it 180MB) a day as a complimentary. I will return for the beach!"

"oaks pacific blue is a good base for your stay in port stephens. not sure about public transport, but the hotel is a short drive away (10-20 mins) from most key sightseeing spots and activities. it is also right across a shopping mall - very convenient. the room was fantastic and great value for money (it seemed to be off peak period in port stephens during june / winter when we visited). if there was one minor flaw, it was the lack of complementary wifi in the hotel, but this seemed to be the norm in most hotels in nsw / sydney where we have visited. "Our stay at the Landmark Nelson Bay was quite pleasant. Our room was clean and it good order, It was perfect for the 3 nights. The kitchenette was ample for our needs for our stay, Our balcony had a great view of Nelsons Bay and Port Stephens and a easy walk to the centre of Nelsons Bay and the Marina. The furnishings in the unit were good, We stayed in a one bedroom spa unit and it was perfect for just the 2 of us. The Landmark has a great pool, there was always plenty parking. We stayed at the Landmark during Christmas school holidays and it was busy, But the pool was never crowded. On of the highlights of the Landmark was the pool and area surrounding pool. Over all i would recommend the Landmark Nelson Bay, The Accommodation was of a good quality, reasonable value, good location and view, And close walking distance to some great restaurants and the the waterfront."

Cars could be parked beneath your rooms for free and owner was a friendly and inviting bloke who greeted us during check-in and when we were driving off after check out. Location was a 5min walking distance from the port where you can catch a 1.5hr dolphin watch cruise. Additional necessities could be bought easily at Woolsworth/Coles located a short 8min drive away. All-in-all, its a great place to stay and highly recommended!"

"Mostly pros from me. I found the staff to be friendly, attentive and helpful from the start. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed. I opted to bring my port-a-cot but they can provide them for just $15. The beach is right across the road and there is an IGA in the same complex as well as some lovely restaurants nearby so you really don’t need to leave Shoal Bay. The only complaint I have is that they recently moved the cafe and it’s still not finished (which is fine). The issue is that it’s connected to a beer garden attached to the pub and bar. The beer garden allows smoking so while we were eating breakfast we could smell the cigarette smoke which was very off-putting"

"Location is great / but no views from apartments close proximity to club & Marina though.. self contained appartments have all you need to be self sufficient. Staff are friendly & helpful. Pool area was being upgraded but was still useable & heated which was a nice surprise. Wifi is available free only a small amount though with older children using it up fairly quickly. & phone service for internet slow only 1 bar in the room. Which made the teenagers come out & be social & converse with adults. Rooms we had were tidy & in line with our expectations. Even exceeded when we realised there was a spa in the bath room. We loved the venue & will return it has been our favourite place to stay in Nelson’s Bay. "
