"This was our second stay in this hotel. We were given early access to our room which was much appreciated. We had a standard queen room which was very adequate. The central location is excellent with public transport at the door. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and all aspects of our time there were good. This hotel ticks all the right boxes and will always be our 'go to' hotel in Melbourne."

"We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbourne. The tram stops directly outside some attractions and just a short walk to others. We arrived at 11am and didn't,t expect an early check in and were quite prepared to leave our luggage with the concierge til check in time whilst we explored Melbourne but we were given an early check in which was very helpful. The Queen Executive we had was a reasonable sized room, writing desk, two seat sofa, coffee table, fridge, tea/ coffee making, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock - all the things we required. The room was clean and comfortable and very good value. The hotel is NOT located in the hub of Melbourne and there are no stylish eateries on the doorstep but supermarkets, 7-11 and various fast food outlets and other clothing outlets can be found in or near the Southern Cross terminal just across the road and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So easy to go further afield on the free tram or just pick up a Myki card at any 7-11 or most stations and load it with whatever credit you require to use the train, bus and tram system - just easy as:D). The hotel also has an indoor pool and reasonably priced breakfast though we didn't,t have chance to use those facilities on this trip. We,d definitely stay again."

"This is the best budget hotel you can ever find in Melbourne.. While most hotels do not provide free wifi, this one does.. and its a strong one.. Strong enough that I could even watch my favourite dramas and variety shows and made me feel at home! I love how they have decorated the room nicely and made everything lovely.. After a whole tiring day of tour in the city, you can expect to come back to comfortable bed and snuck in and have good night rest.. Every room has a small window and you can expect cool winds and good ventilation especially now in cold spring season.. And the location is superb too.. Just one minute.. or less, you'll reach to the Parliament Station and you can catch the Free Tram, City Circle or other trams (with Myki card) to any other places.. But just a reminder, please do not attempt to walk all the way from the Southern Cross Station at the Spencer Street (Skybus from Melbourne Airport sends us to this station) to the Hotel at the Little Collins Street, as the hotel is basically on the other end of the street.. so getting there by foot, with all our bags and heavy luggage was deadly difficult.. We did that and we was so tired that we slept in hotel for the rest of the day.. The location, is nearly opposite to the Sheraton Hotel, (most people do know where that is though) and it is near to the convenient store (7-11), as most shops close early, you can opt to have some late night supper there (Sandwiches on Wednesdays are on discount, for $2 only), and there are bars at the back lane of the hotel, so if you prefer beers, you can go there too~ You can request to change for a new towel at your fourth night there, and on the seventh night, you can request to change for a new bed sheet~ Oh and there's kitchen and laundry room at the rooftop.. so go there and have great nightview! I love this hotel and if I ever go back to Melbourne, I will definitely come back!"

"Stayed few nights. Great location for shopping, citysightseeing. Hotel is tidy and comfortable. Price is right. We could have stayed longer. We stayed in few other hotels in Melbourne too, because first time cannot be sure of the hotels by internet photos. Econolodge was in its own class compared to others of similar price and location. We recommed it."

"I'd read quite a few reviews before heading to Melbourne and was a little apprehensive about what I'd find at 'Arrow'. Now, having returned home I'm puzzled as to what the negative comments were all about! While the foyer could do with an upgrade, the location is ideal for looking around Melbourne (a 5 minute walk to Lygon Street, a 12 minute walk to Queen Vic Markets), the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was small but clean and had everything that I needed and the bathroom, while the size of a normal en-suite, was more than sufficient for taking a shower etc. The bedroom was small but the reality is, you sleep there! It doesn't have to be enormous! The sheets were crisp and clean, the mirrored wardrobe had hangers, and there was a desk/table as well as a bedside table, great bedside light and clock. While the bed was a little firm for my liking the pillows were good. Although there was some noise at night, what else would anyone expect from a hotel in the middle of a major city, next to a main thoroughfare, on a Friday and Saturday night? The noise came from outside and when the windows were closed, the noises all but disappeared. If the temperature was a problem, there was an air-conditioner. All in all, the apartment was ideal for what I wanted. If you want 5 star then stay in a 5 star establishment but if you want something at a reasonable price which is clean, convenient and comfortable, then stay at 'Arrow on Swanston'. I'll be back and would have no problems recommending it to others."

"The hotel is well located in North Melbourne. There is a tram stop directly outside the hotel and it is only a few minutes walk to Queen Victoria Market, and the center of Melbourne is about 20 minutes walk. Our check-in was delayed by an hour which was annoying - reception blamed a new cleaner who was slow. Once we eventually checked in the room was fairly small, but was suitable for our needs. The condition of the corridors in the hotel were a bit lacking with grubby walls. The actual room was quite clean however. The bed was fairly soft, and my partner did not find it very comfortable. We had no problems easily getting to all of the places we wanted to go from the hotel either by tram or walking. We did not use the cooking facilities in the room as there are so many great food options in Melbourne. As a budget option reasonably close to Melbourne CBD I'd definitely recommend it."
