Truly awesome experience with the management and staff of Fariyas Resort Lonavala. Impeccable and Awesome dining experience, wonderful rooms, great ambience, water and adventure park, bar inside the pool, all these make this Resort as one of the best places to stay. During our stay, there were festival celebrations with games, food and lots of gifts to be won. Karaoke night on one night and DJ night on the second night made our stay as one of the best. Special thanks to VP Mr Thakur, Mr Partha Ray (Rooms Manager), Mr. Anil (F&B head), Mr. Srikanta (F&B Manager), Mr Goutam and Mr Arup who took special care of us. Team Fariyas is one of the best in my opinion as they have been trained to win customers hearts. This was my second stay with them and believe me, my third stay with my complete family will be very soon during monsoon season as that’s the best time to enjoy food, weather and adventure activities. Mr Daman who heads their travel desk is one of the person I’ve ever dealt during any of stays worldwide. He brings a human touch while dealing with customers and treat them as they are his own family members. Thanks so very much team Fariyas for making our stay unforgettable and memorable.

When I got the deal from Agoda I was in two minds whether it was worth spending 22k for 2 nights (including breakfast). But when I landed there I could feel that I have entered in a different world, when we entered our rooms it was executive one and my wife was ecstatic and just loved the perfectness of the rooms, its interiors. Smart tv, remote controlled curtains, confortable bed, the lights in the bathrooms etc. it was not lonavala it was a piece of Europe. The adventure park gave us a high when we tried flying fox, the food choices made us try various things and everything was delicious. Plenty of options for Breakfast. Excellent swimming pool for adults and kids. And beautiful gardens!!! Oh della, I love you!

A two night’s stay is far too short to explore all the facilities and make an opinion but there is a story to tell. It’s an Eco Hotel but during my stay it was more of a Corporate Hotel with a total of three Company’s staff put up there which outweighs families. Also, on one of the evenings they had closed the Gaming Room to convert to a Conference Room (for a Company Seminar as told by one of the staff) which was a big disappointment as we had planned to use it since it was raining heavily and the fact that we had explored most sightseeing. On our first night, a mouse was biting on my wife's sandal in the wee hours and replicating a sound as if someone was walking in the room. This horror went on for few minutes in the dark but was terribly scary until we switched on the lights and some more time to locate the mouse. Room service people came and were trying to hunt down the mouse but it wasn’t easy during which time I strongly demanded to change my room immediately. This was done instantly with the help of Room Service staff which took only few minutes. We were happy to get an empty room as we knew the Hotel was sold out. Facilities are adequate; property is well maintained but appears slightly retiring especially the Bathroom door that makes a strange and loud tweaking sound which is very annoying. Staff at Reception and Concierge is nothing short of exception but the Restaurant service is lethargic although they tend to go the extra mile. The stay could have been a lot better without the one-off incident and without corporate bookings during our stay but I understand this property is their top pick. I would very much prefer to make a second visit putting all of this behind us as it is indeed one of the best properties I have seen across Lonavala subject to getting a good deal. Here's hoping the services will improve until my next stay. Good luck!

A very nice place had a awesome time. Pros 1)Food is just too good 2)Hotel staff is very polite 3)Tree house restaurant staff and Chefs will go out of the way to do things. 4)Room is spacious 5) Bathroom is clean Con 1)Room flooring should be carpeted or changed 2) Washbasin need a bit of maintenance Would recommend this place to everyone to go. Duke's Retreat has by far the best views in Lonavala. Tourist spots are overcrowded and littered with debris, but Duke's Retreat has its own private view overlooking a valley and waterfalls. It's ultra quiet. There is no need to leave the hotel since its resturants serve wonderful, tasty food. Its staff keeps everything clean even when there are few guests there. Everyone was helpful throughout our stay. If you want to relax and be pampered a few hours from Mumbai, then Duke's Retreat is the place to go.

I checked into executive room.. the room was spacious and had a beautiful balcony. clean room. the staff was courteous. since there was no place in the restaurant to have lunch as it was occupied by kids who had come for picnic. we were told to order lunch in room and they even waived off the room service charges. thanks to the manager at the reception. Food was very good. Tea was good. drawback .. there is no lift and washroom needs to have separate partition for bathing and comode since it becomes messy. breakfast had only paratha, medicine vada, bread, one fruit and omlette if asked .. could work on little variety .. But overall it was a good stay and good property ... would like to visit again

One of the best villa that we have been. We got upgradation from Deluxe rooms to Super deluxe and the facilities there were excellent. Complimentary DJ night and Complimentary Hi Tea were a nice surprise. Food Quality was Excellent. Breakfast was excellent with adequate items. Fruit Juices and more fruit items can be added in buffet breakfast. Also suggest to have more signages so that finding resort will be more helpful from Mumbai Pune Highway/ expressway

Had an interesting experience.. It was raining all around and massive traffic jams lead us to check in around 5 PM.. Found the room was given to someone else. Was obviously furious.. However later realized that the family from previous night had not checked out as they still wanted to enjoy the resort - was impressed to see the extended warmth of staff to them. Also the room was quickly cleaned, staff was considerate of my initial anguish. The manager was extremely polite and helpful. Room was great, resort as well.. Keep up the good work.. Only area of improvement: Sports facilities, not maintained well enough.

Everything was great about Cloud 9 Hills Resort. It feels like you are actually living in the clouds. They have a spa which is relaxing and rejuvenating as it has properly trained personnel. Facilities are alright and food is good but electricity goes off quite frequently and you need to get behind reception quite often to get the generators running quickly. A brilliant location in the rains if they can sort electricity issues.

Welcoming from the start, and clearly concerned that we had everything we needed. The rooms are clean and ready for the guests. Nearly all will have a view of the lake, and there is easy access to the best area for walking around shops in Udaipur. The rooftop restaurant is great, with some of the best food we found anywhere, and service second to none. Quite the best hotel of its price range we have stayed in, certainly in Rajasthan, but probably that goes for the rest of India as well!

Amenities: It is a very clean and tidy Hotel with lots of modern amenities. The Hotel is newly built so the furniture and fixtures are new and latest. Cleanliness: They take care of cleanliness and the hotel is very clean and tidy. Cost: Good Value for money Food: Breakfast is free and it is really tasty. Recreational Facilities: They have a small swimming pool; gymnasium; Pool table. Rating: Deserves a 4 rating out of 5. Location: Has various restaurents and shops near its vicinity and located on the emain Road..

Rooms are big and good. They were slightly smoldy. Staff admitted that and told me due to heavy rains it becomes so and they will treat it now that rains are over. Staff were very courteous. Breakfast had good range and was tasty. They have some activities there as well but we didn’t try them all - only carrom and karoke. Dinner service was slow and menu limited and food was tasty and bit expensive. Overall i would recommend if you need good hotel to stay and tour lonavala/khandala. If you want to stay at hotel predominantly i would suggest to choose something else.

Booked super deluxe room but it was upgraded to suite without extra charges. By the way two days later offer for same room was at much lower price on Agoda. Rooms were recently painted . Handles at all doors were broken , perhaps they are replacing same . Staff was courteous . Food was ultimate in taste and not costly . Swimming pool is ok. Only worry in the hotel was BEDBUG and for which I have shared pic with reception.

We booked this hotel for 1 night. Unfortunately the hotel room was in a position to use . They arrange alternative hotel (Manas Hotel) . I reached in evening time and along with kids i am in place to accept and stayed 1 night. They are providing open water bottled. No proper wifi. Food quality and arrangement was very worst. Only Uppuma they provide as breakfast. I strogly recommend to all the viewers... Not to select this Hotel for your trip

Normally I don't bother to write about my experience at resorts. If it is a minor inconvenience, I simply ignore it. If it is significant, I simply don't go to the place again. However, in this case, I am compelled to write so that others do not suffer and ruin precious vacation. The access to the place from main highway forces you to drive through shady areas of town. The place is filthy. The wash room in the lobby has broken fixtures, gross towels, cockroaches on the floor. The restaurant (if you can even call it that) is pathetic and the service is awful. If you take a peek inside the kitchen (visible while walking to the pool), you won't even drink water at this place, let alone eat. The pool is tiny by any standard somewhat, bigger than a jacuzzi. The changing rooms and the restrooms are dirty and have broken fixtures. The suit where we stayed was no different. The bathroom was pathetic. The bathtub had a hole at the bottom from which cement and other material oozes out as you take shower. The exhaust fan is missing. We made online-booking from Agoda for a suite and requested one extra bed so that the entire family (of 5) could stay together. We were charged Rs. 17,018 While booking, we clearly indicated 4 adults and one extra bed for another person. When the actual transaction took place, for some reason, Agoda booked 3-adults and one extra bed for the suit. We thought this was adequate because there are two large beds in the suit (enough for 4 adults) and the extra bed would be for the fifth person. However, the night before we were supposed to check out, we were told to pay Rs. 6,000 extra for three nights. The hotel manager insinuated that we were trying to bring-in an extra member. We felt insulted and cheated. We certainly could have booked two separate rooms. It would have been more economical; But we booked a suite because our family (5 members) wanted to stay together. Pros are; Location Hygiene Silent City Center. Cons; Nothing to tell. We went their with family. This property is in the middle of the city. Their is lot of noise outside, but inside standstill silence. Each one will get two pillows, no worries :))) and bed and bedsheets are very nice compared to five star hotels. Bath room fittings and 24 hours running hot water amaze you again. All arround a best hotel to stay. Wait.... I forgot to mention about TV. A nice big screen TV in each room to make our stay more comfortable. Overall 5 star for this property.
