Where to stay in Kuala Terengganu
Kuala Terengganu hotels & accommodations
Here is one of the good hotel in Kuala terengganu/East coast according to my view. The location is near to bus station, seaview, local foods and cinema including some shops for camera/electronics. The mosque is so close to this hotel. It has a pool /separate man/women pool. Parking is good. Recommended for family and couple.
Stayed during off peak season, so the hotel was quiet. Located really close to the airport but there's no noise disturbance from planes. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are recently refurbished and the deluxe rooms are considerably spacious. Breakfast spread is alright, mostly local food when i was there. Huge pool area for children. Would definitely stay at TH Hot...
Excellent hotel in Kuala Terengganu with 5 star facilities. Rooms are clean and big enough for small family or newly married couples. Awesome AV systems 'BOSE' and nice set up in the bathroom - big size bathroom consist of Shower, Bathtub, and dressing area. Thinking of coming again next year.
We find the location was strategically located in Kuala Terengganu. They do have a cafe that's very popular with the locals and loggers. The quality of foods is good. Nice place to chill. However, they don't do breakfast as they open from noon onward.Bathroom, bed, TV, aircond and kettle are all good. Nothing dodgy. Highly recommended.
GHI Kuala Terengganu is considered as a veteran hotel in Kuala Terengganu but worry not the condition of the hotel is just like new. very good maintenance and staff are friendly to response to your requests. though there are some things need to be improved like the condition of the toilet which could have been better and the breakfast provided. while the food selection...
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. In terms of the facilities in the room, I believe the management could do better in maintaining the air conditioner, refrigerator and as well as the bathroom functions. After all, it was a great experience for us in Kuala Terengganu :)
The stay at Sumai Suite deluxe apartment,I and my family member enjoy comfortable stay like at home. We enjoy chating with family members in the nice and clean living room, our whole family member could having variety buffet breakfast together in the comfortable restaurant. We all like the nice seaview from the apartment and also enjoy the local seafood along the beach...
I really enjoyed my three days and two nights stay in Felda Residence Hotel. The staff that my husband and l met were very friendly. They were always ready whenever we were in need especially when we asked for the direction to famous places in Kuala Terengganu. We were given a map, even though it was a simple one but it helped us a lot! Other things that l really like ...
Enjoyed our 2 night stay at J Suites . It had every thing we needed for a quick stop over in Kuala Terengganu . A special BIG thanks goes to the manager for helping us out when we returned after a stay on Redang Island . You went above and beyond your duties . Thank you once again .
Room is spacious, Staff is friendly and Location is great. It's an old hotel but easy to get grabcar and nearby (walking distance) with major attractions (chinatown and dataran shahbandar) in Kuala Terengganu. Breakfast is a part of the deal of the hotel too.
Family saya sangat enjoy dengan percutian kali ini. Kami menyewa bilik 'Family' dan ianya sangat selesa. serta lokasi hotel yang berdekatan dengan banyak tempat menarik di Kuala Terengganu.
Reasonably cheap among other 3 Stas Hotel in Kuala Terengganu. Breakfast spread is good and tasty. Nasi Dagang is MUST TRY, really delicious and texture is very soft. More than enough varieties to fuel up. The GM En. Kamal is very polite and attentive. Spacious room & and comfy bed with 4 pillows. Better than some 5 stars hotel mattress. No unwanted odor. Ala carte ...
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels when I stayed in Kuala Terengganu. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly. The location of the hotel surrounded by a lot of exciting places such as Mydin, Muaz and fast food restaurants. Thumb up to the staff that rectified my complaint about air conditioning problem in my room. ...
I've paid RM 90 for decent room but without window. I get what I paid, but for just one night stay, it's reasonable price and accommodation for me already. Book without breakfast, I've to pay RM 7.50 for glass of hot nescafe and Mee Goreng, quite expensive for Kuala Terengganu area (normally it is just RM 5 to have both). Location are strategically located by walking...
We were in Kuala Terengganu due to my brther in law Passing Out Parade at Akademi Bomba Wakaf Tapai. We reached Kuala Terengganu on 3/5/13 around 4.00 am from Johor Bahu and luckily we had booked this hotel earlier. This is the 2nd time we stay here and Ming Paragin Hotel & Spa gives the best service. An easy access location to the City, clean hotel, friendly staff an...

Kuala Terengganu town centre is lcoated within 5 minutes drive from the hotel.
my room just infront of beach. relaxing place and really nice seaview. Resort near with Kuala Terengganu town and famous place in terengganu.
We stayed here for 1 night travelling from Kota Bharu to Malacca. China Town in Kuala Terengganu is lovely, worth visiting.
Booking by agoda at this hotel can not get offer from hotel. I booking by agoda this hotel at price rm65. Hotel offer walk in rm60.
My family enjoy staying in this resort. The room is clean. We requested for a connecting room during our check in and was granted. For improvement, suggest Resort introduce a welcome drink. We drove from Colmar Bukit Tinggi and its a long journey..a welcome drink would definitely be good to attract tourist. We drove to the town Kuala Terengganu just a short distance. ...
The room was well laid out with a slim sitting area and a flat screen tv. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room at a comfortable temperature. There is a water dispenser with both cold and hot water. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower and water pressure. This place is cheap and very close to bus station. The hotel itself is small, dirty, people smoke inside and it gets in rooms. AC was cold and shower was hot, but Wi-Fi was spotty at best. If you want something nice look elsewhere, but if you want cheap AC room next to bus station this is the place for you. Also twin room was cheaper booking through Agoda.
The room is spacious enough for 4 of us, with 4 single beds put together(2 and 2). The bathroom is stylish and clean, water pressure very good (got hot water). The lounge is a good place for my kids to run around but there is some smell that I do not know where it come from. I think it is better to put a wall to set apart the lounge from the next door restaurant (kitc...

For me, Come Inn got a thumb up from me especially for its ideal location as it is only about 5-10 minutes drive to the town and the facilities are considerably good. Breakfast is provided. KT Travellers Inn was a small budget hotel in Kuala Terengganu. There was a lot of hotel near this hotel. The room was quite small but the cleanliness are good. Patrick, the host ,was a mine of information about the area---places of interest and places to eat. He received us at the homestay with roti paung, our introduction to this delicious bread roll with sweetened fresh coconut in the centre. Have not been able to purchase this anywhere else in Malaysia. The homestay was very clean and located in an excellent area, close to...
Honestly, exceeding my expectation. For the amount of money that you paid, you get a decent bed in hotel situated at the city center. Got some jobs to do at the local city council here & this hotel is perfect; just within walking distance to go there. It's also near banks & food places. The cable TV also available, albeit few channels, it's enough for me because of spo...

We stayed in Kuala Terengganu for a night before we moved to Redang Island. We almost missed our boat from Merang Jetty to Redang Island, and the owner helped us to grab a taxi to the jetty. His negotiated the taxi fare for us too. He is friendly and helpful. To me, he makes the accommodation like home. He treats us like friends, not another customers. While we do not...

Hard to communicate with the host. No feedback until the day to travel. When call, he said house fully book.. anyhow, he managed to find other house with no payment.. thanks for the other house!
will recommended to other people
nice home, tastefully decorated with the usual amenities - WiFi, cable TV, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen, 4 rooms can fit 8 adults comfortably. close to local eateries - Makette steamboat and grill just a few minutes walk from the house, serves reasonably priced steamboat and grilled food (self-service all-you-can-eat buffet). a few minutes drive to Kuala Ter...
The place is like one huge room and divided to different compartments with woods. The environment is comfortable but there is only two aircond for the whole house. The wind is not evenly distributed. Terengganu is famous with its blue oceans, redang and perhentian island where you can snorkel and dive.
I was amazed by the Crystal Mosque. It is definitely worth to see it! If you get to the town during Ramadan and everything seems to be closed, there is a small China town in Kuala Terengganu, you can eat well there :)
rich with attractions; the beaches, museum, heritage parks, monuments. The foods are great the people are friendly
This is a muslim state in Malaysia with very low in terms of acceptancy where there will be no short skits allowed, alcoholic or even swim suits in certain areas.
Nice place as stop over(rest, relax and sightseeing) before or after go to tourist island.(Kapas, Redang etc)
It is my father's hometown and a nice place to settle down. What I love the most is the food because there's variety of food that you can try here in Terengganu.
Will come again! Good athmosphere, good food, good people and good places of interest. Nice view at night.
Pasar Payang to shop local merchandise There's museum and crystal mosque for you to visit (and selfie)
I am not the right person to provide a lot of feedback since we only stay for one night in transit to Redang.
In terengganu, it is more of a transit town to those heading to the resort islands such as Redang and Perhentian.
Its a small town. Cannot expect too much. Just for the experience or transit to the islands of Perhentian, Kapas and Redang.
Very quiet town. Basically the main idea of a holiday here is to enjoy time by the beach. One day is enough to have a quick tour of the city.
The Terengganu should provide all travelers a concise and accurate map about the city streets when they arrive the bus terminal or the airport.
Reckless drivers, pretty rude people. Go to Pasar Payang and Kampung Cina please! And have lunch at Nasi Kukus Jalan Kamarudin.
good stay in Terengganu and there is so many attractions such as Pasar Payang, Pulau Warisan, Pulau Wan Man, Pantai Batu Burok, Keropok Losong, Masjid Kristal and Masid Terapung.
Attention has to be given on the traffic jam at the City centre especially surrounding the Pasar Payang area.
The city itself is dull apart from the inhabitants who are good and welcoming. The city is good place to travel to other places at the suburb and the country side.
A friendly place, but the whole city can be explore within one day. Not much of activities can be done in the city.
beautiful sandy beaches like Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Redang, should try their local food esp: Nasi Dagang, Laksam and variety of local kuih.
muslim state and have many seafood restaurant where the food is fresh from sea. This state also have traditional culture
quite a lovely place with number of attraction, rounded by quite a number of island which can let us to relax for the momment
Clean and safe city. Very friendly people. Beautiful beaches and islands. Glorious local foods especially sea food.
Small city of Terengganu with heavy cultural influence with historical building and cultural centers are available.
This is an old city, and because its a Muslim state, night life seems somewhat close to nil. The whole city is pretty run down in my opinion, but the folks seems pretty content with it.
Good for easy and relaxing with family. Beaches are great for those who love the sun. It was really hot in the day and temperature can reached up to 38 degree C in June.
Small and compact. Attractions and shopping centres are next to each other. Places to visit: 1. Payang Market & Bazaar Warisan 2.
Kuala Terengganu, the city of Terengganu is a great escapade for those who would like to umwind themselves.
Kuala Terengganu is the capital of the northern state of Terengganu. The city serves as main gateway to visitors that are on their way to visit the tropical islands of Redang, Lang Tengah, Tenggol and Kapas, but also the fantastic nature at Lake Kenyir.
It's a town which not much night life but just a pub at China Town. Basically there is nothing much around the town to hangout beside local food but the island is nice , such as Redang island
A peaceful town with beautiful beaches and islands. However, this is the first time I travel to Kuala Terengganu without where I used to take it as a transit point for the island, and without travel to any beach.
