"I had a work trip in Canberra and found it difficult to book accomodation close to the office. This was my first time staying in a hostel but I’d definitely stay again. The private room with ensuite was larger than expected, extremely tidy and clean and the bed and linen was very comfortable. No iron in the room but there are communal facilities downstairs to do iron the work clothes. 5 minute walk to walk. This was no frills perfection. "

"We stayed here for a weekend getaway and couldn’t be happier .Our room was really a unit with a seperate bedroom ,lounge ,kitchen and bathroom /laundry .It was very well equipped, and very comfortable .The complementary plunger coffee was a nice touch . We could have cooked but why go to the effort when there a scores of great restaurants within a few minutes walk . The only inconvenience was that the car park was full and we were redirected to use the car park in the Canberra centre for a small cost . However I was rung a few days before to confirm our booking and let me know about the parking situation .It is only a few minutes walk away and since we passed an Aldi we could pick up breakfast supplies (there is also coles in the same complex) . The staff were extremely helpful as well "

"I came to Canberra in the N.S.W school holidays with my two children. I wanted to bring them Canberra for a few days to visit Questacon, Parliament House and the Zoo. I needed affordable accommodation with a kitchen in it because it was cold at night and I didn't want to be dragging the kids all over Canberra looking for places to eat. The accommodation was affordable (excellent price) and the room was clean and recently refurbished. Excellent kitchen facilities. Really close to all major attractions and short walk to Manuka town centre. A great place to stay. Highly recommend."

"The reception was friendly and advised us about shopping and sightseeing in Canberra. The rooms were compact but with a practical layout to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was equipped with LCD TV and coffee/tea maker. The location of the hotel is ideal for travelers entering the city from the north (Sydney). The sights of Canberra are only a few km away. Parking for the car is provided for free. I would return to this Motel on another visit to Canberra."

"Our stay was to view the Renaissance exhibition at the NGA in Canberra, Australia. The staff were helpful, courteous and professional. The hotel's structure allows a reduction in noise which is always welcome when travel and sleep in beds other than your own are necessary. The bed was to our liking, with pillows a little softer. Buffet breakfast was ample with a good selection of fruit , yoghurt and muesli. Barrister and coffee could do with a refresher course, other wise all was good and fresh. Concierge and front desk staff were wonderful. Taxis were there when called. "

"I like Abode Woden as the rooms are comfortable and provide a few extra facilities to a standard hotel room. Also I drove to Canberra, so having a car park directly across the road was a huge benefit. This was my second stay at Abode Woden and I will stay there again if I need to return to Canberra."

"My stay was quite pleasant and I chose this hotel due to its location. I had a function to attend in Gunghalin and it worked out perfectly. Check in and check out was really quick and customer service was friendly. The room had all the amenities of a Studio and they all worked perfectly. The only negative comment I have is the quality of the mattress/bed. They might need to change them in some of the rooms. The prices at the counter for items such as Gatorade and chips are expensive compared to just walking down to the local supermarket. I would definitely come back here when I travel to Canberra."
