Best hotels & accommodations in Cape Town City Center

If you want to stay in Cape Town and be close to the city center and the trendy Waterkant and Green Point area and also be in walking distance to the Waterfront and Cape Town Stadium, this is the place to stay. Secure parking is also a plus point as was the rate we had to pay for our stay.

The staff was absolutely wonderful!! They made our stay in Cape Town the most memorable vacation we have ever had, ( we travel) alot. Hlonela and the new girl with the short blond hair went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the BEST, we are forever greatful. From the location, room size and staff we give Icon 5 stars!! We will definitely recommend Icon Luxury ...

The hotel is perfectly located. The decor is beautiful. The staff and service is incredible. The room was spacious and beautifully laid out. All around- this is one of the best places to stay in Cape Town. The beach club and daily shuttle to Camps Bay is an amazing free extra. We loved this hotel! We’ll be back!!

This hotel, located in the downtown core, is a lovely choice for access to the joys of urban Cape Town. It has a lovely lobby which is an homage to Nelson Mandela, with quotations, an interesting sculpture and an impressive painting. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and fully functional. The staff were remarkably responsive. We used a washing machine in the...

The hotel is located a few blocks from Bo-Kaap, near a hop on/off bus stop going to Table mountain and the other direction takes you to the waterfront. The staff and facilities were absolutely wonderful. The biggest surprise (we booked the suite) was the 3-level loft with full kitchen/ living room/ dining (level 1), the master bedroom (level 2) with larger closet area ...

I came for two nights in cape town for business. The Hotel is well located in the middle of the city with many restaurants and activites near by. The Room confort was really great. BUT there seems to be a management problem, I had booked via a mail to the hotel which I even received confirmation for a Airport pickup.... Nothing was arranged. I arrived at 13:30 in the a...

Really nice little apartment in a great part of cape town. Comfy bed, has everything you need and feels secure. I can't comment on the Paragon facilities as it turned out Madison is another building (you still check in at Paragon first) without all of these which Agoda might have made clearer before the stay. The only issue we encountered was there was only one lift a...

Located in the city center but a little difficult to find in the beginning. Had to ask the security CCID for help. He was very nice and walked with us to the hotel. Cape Town city center may be too quiet and not suitable to wander around at night. Therefore, for late arrival, UBER is recommended. We walked from the airport bus terminal and were harassed by a group...

Undiscovered gem well located in CapeTown. Can walk to the V&A Waterfront., Central downtown area and real grocery store (Pic&Pay) just a few blocks away on Strand.. Spotlessly clean. The single room units are quite commodious and the two room luxury suites are huge. When I mentioned our front-facing room (with a great view of Table Mountain) was noisy from stree...

This hotel is a very beautiful 5 stars hotel in the city bowl area. You can go everywhere in Cape Town easily starting from here. And good thing for shopping lovers, it's only 10 minutes walking from the hotel to the legendary shopping center, Vicetoria & Alfred Mall!

We really enjoyed our stay here at Rockwell all suite hotel. Everything is readily available with very accommodating and helpful staffs. The rooms are big, neat, well-maintained. Because we enjoyed it here so much, we even cancelled our reservation in one of the hotels at the v&a waterfront and extended our stay here at the Rockwell. We recommend this to everyone who i...

Our stay at the Hilton in Cape Town was awesome! I would recommend booking an airport transfer and asking specifically for Brendan. He was so courteous and gave us an impromptu tour of the city on the drive to the hotel. All of the other staff we engaged with were equally friendly - including Namsa at the front desk and the whole concierge team. The room was very wel...

We stayed twice at Dunkley House after we arrived in Cape Town and before leaving. We went out to take the Garden Route in between. The staff were great. Very helpful and always smiling. They also gave us a better room than what we got from Agoda, which was a welcome surprise. We even asked if we can use the same room during our second trip and they kindly said yes. ...

The single rooms also need to have a full length mirror in them and the hotel needs to do something about the wet floors when it rains, I understand it's under construction but the wet floors could cause serious injury. Plus an extra blanket wouldn't hurt considering the fact that winter is very cold in Cape town plus a remote for the TV and cutlery was forgotten in my...

In fact the nights spend at this hotel was like a nightmare. Very noisy after a busy day. The entrance to the hotel is scaring as they are always some boys loitering around there. Check in process is so frustrating and the staffs don't care how you leave their hotel to the flat. All left to you. Internet is another issue. In this world of today I can't imagen a fla...

This hotel really hit the mark for me on many levels. Being in a historic building in Cape Town with an Airstream trailer park on the roof it's funky with a lot of character. The rooms were clean and modern, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was very good. It is right in the heart of the central business district and convenient. The staff were courteous, well-tr...

The rooms are very nice with nice furniture and a very cool bathroom. It was clean and everything worked. The staff was very helpful. Each room is different with some smaller than others. The room includes breakfast which was acceptable but a bit limited when staying for more that 3 days and eating the same thing over and over. The rooms to not have a kitchen. They ad...

The Cape Diamond is centrally located in Cape Town. It is within walking distance of the main city attractions; the Company Gardens, Gold Museum,Green Square, near a Hop-on Hop-off pick up point, vibrant Long St with all its eateries and galleries. We had some trouble with a tour company and they sorted it all out for us. The front of house staff knew their local area we...

We spent 6 nights here with our two teen boys and were generally very happy although you have to ensure you don't get a room, as we did, close to the pub/bistro. Ours was just above the bar, which has an outdoor sitting area, and we could literally overhear entire conversations, laughter etc both until the bar closed and on the pavement outside. Our kids were unaffecte...

I travelled solo and first time in Cape Town. The location is good, walking distance to many tourist sites, modest breakfast and caring host. Michelle, one of the hosts made my short stay memorable as she made excellent suggestions and arrangements to ensure I get to do what I wanted to do safely. Initially, I chose this hotel due to its location - walking distance fro...

My family loved to stay at Upper Eastside Hotel. Even that the area is not the best in Cape Town, there is not any problem to stay there, only a few minutes by car from city bowl or Waterfront, once inside it is a great place, confortable, nice, safe and friendly enviroment. Good restaurant and secure parking. I will recomend this hotel and hope to stay there another ...

The hotel is right in the main lane of cape town where all the bars are located. Not a place for someone who likes quite and relax time. It is botique hotel and is designed really well. The rooms are bit small but the beds are comfy. Everything was spotless clean and the staff is amazing. Check their website for different room types as you might either love the room or...

Staff most welcoming and very helpful in planning your stay in Cape Town. A steep flight of stairs from the front door to the second floor reception. But the staff was very helpful in bringing luggage to your room. Included breakfast was from the menu and a good selection of items, although service was a little slow and cooked food could have been a little warmer. Wo...

Gerard was fantastic without being over the top, very welcoming and easy to deal with. The lodge itself is perfect for couples, 15 minutes walk to Long Street but the views are fantastic, location seems safe, we walked around at night. Great option and far better value for money than other guesthouses around Cape Town

Hotel is within walking disatance from all day & night activities in Cape Town. Parking is close. Rooms are clean & comfortable. The service was profesional, friendly, and always available. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, hot & cold options. Will definitely visit this hotel again.

We were so pleased with this guest house for our final few days in South Africa. Though the rooms are fairly small, they are very clean and have everything you need. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, as is happy hour we were so pleased with this guest house or our final a few days in South Africa. So the rooms are fair...
Cheapest hotels in Cape Town City Center

From the airport, the best way to go is by taxi as it is nearly the same price as shared transport to this location. It is from 240 to 260 Rand. You can get it prebooked online via bookings @ sport24hrs.co.za which is the service I used back to the airport. I used the service at the arrivals hall counter on the way in, but I think just to the taxi stand might be the...

The room was not ensuite like i thought. The beddings seemed a bit too worn out. And the towels provided didnt look very tidy. I did not use the hotel eventually. After seeing the place i moved out and made other arrangements. I was very disappointed.

We stayed there for 3 nights to visit cape town, boulders beach and good hope by rented car. The location is good the area is kind of safe, there is a supermarket very near to it and some restaurant. We had a private room with shared bathroom which they could have been cleaned more than once a day. We recommend this place.

Pros: staff, location, food, rooftop bar and social area Cons: you have to eventually leave Excellent hostel with a very kind and friendly staff. Zozo made my trip 10/10 and was great with suggestions and helping me get the most out of my time in Cape Town. She is the secret to success for your stay. Laddy is a great bartender who always has a smile on his face. Linto...

It’s a nice place to stay even though not located in the city center. But if you call an uber you’ll get to town for only R45. From airport to the hotel it’s a 15 mins drive for around R160. We even got upgraded and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A very good value for the money if you consider the hotel prices in Cape Town. Nevertheless, the bathroom could h...

Its cheap, but its a bit far from the city center, and from shops (SPAR, Pick n Pay, KFC, etc.). But it's close to the train/bus station. Their staff are friendly and helpful. Its a right place if you looking for the cheapest price, but may be not for backpackers, or traveller.

The rooms were clean and very warming, everything was up to standard. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to family and friends. Near everything you might need in Capetown. Heart of Cape Town. Staff is welcoming and very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Much appreciated

Great view of Table Mountain, spacious apartment with all the amenities, supermarket walking distance, safe car parking (which is really important for this part of town). Steve also provided us with with some great advice what to do in Cape Town. This place is a must stay! We will definitely us it again.

We was arriving Friday 13th November for 3 nights, my family was arrived from Germany, special thanks to the manager who make things possible and comfortable for our family during arriving the hotel and during our stay, great information’s about things to do in and around Cape Town, we really enjoy our stay in the Kings Hotel, Thomas and family

Great location for business travelers working in Cape Town CBD. Parking and internet were extra fees. Parking garage was VERY hard to park in; underground parking with tight turns. Safe, locked parking however. Staff very friendly. Rooms very large and would be good for a business traveler or family (large bed and pull out couch in most rooms). Not very central t...

I am an airline crew with Singapore Airlines. About 8 years ago, we flew direct from Singapore to Cape Town and stayed at SS Cullinen, just beside the SS Waterfront. This time I decided to bring my wife to Cape Town and booked a room at Waterfront, hotel of Emirates crew(I know this because I have airline crew friends working for emirates). So what I loved about thi...

This is the fifth time I stay at this hotel over the last 6 years and I will continue to stay here each time I visit Cape Town. The service continues to be at an outstanding level. The hotel is very clean and takes care of all your needs. It is also in walking distance to V&A Waterfront so location is great.

The stay at Cape Town hollow was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful and ever ready to give assistance. The Hotel was centrally located and for a single traveller in her sixties the location was ideal. I spent my time in the measuem that was located across the road and the Company's Garden that was most relaxing. Seeing school children with their teachers having ...

The hotel is very clean, super spacious with warm, friendly, and helpful staff. The room is a suite/apartment style with a very comfortable bed and pillows. We booked the luxury suite for 3 nights and was not disappointed! We expected something mediocre judging from the reviews we read but it exceeded our expectations. Nice place to stay, good decor and lots of space. Well situated around 10 minutes walk from both the V&A Waterfront and central city. Restaurants, shops and supermarket 2 minutes walk away. This was an oustanding place to stay. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and eager to make your stay the best possible. It is an ideal location in that it is close to many oustanding locations. Furthermore, the Double Decker Bus has a stop right across the street from the hotel. When I return to Cape Town, I will say at this bed and breafkast again. Loved it!

This is a great place to stay near the Waterkant. The views from the large apartment was very impressive. The rooftop pool has an even better view. We LOVED our stay! Right in the heart of one of the best areas in Cape Town. Close to the city and all of the hip and happening spots! Great decor, clean and modern rooms, wonderful staff! It also has 2 bars and 2 restaurants on site! Stay here, you won't regret it! :)

Great view of Table Mountain, spacious apartment with all the amenities, supermarket walking distance, safe car parking (which is really important for this part of town). Steve also provided us with with some great advice what to do in Cape Town. This place is a must stay! We will definitely us it again.

I stayed at this beautiful apartment for four days over Christmas holidays. Luxurious, clean, spacious property with breakfast and hotel services at your fingertips. Couldn't have asked for a more convenient location! The hosts were very responsive, responsible and helpful - made our experience seamlessly easy!

Apartment is exactly as the photos. Beautiful furniture. Especially the living room chairs. Which we wanted to hide in our suitcases. It is worth contacting the owners so you can set up a what’s app link with them. We had lots of recommendations for coffee, dinner and local amenities. Check in with the security. Very friendly guys and they even helped with a suitcase. ...
