The staff was absolutely wonderful!! They made our stay in Cape Town the most memorable vacation we have ever had, ( we travel) alot. Hlonela and the new girl with the short blond hair went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the BEST, we are forever greatful. From the location, room size and staff we give Icon 5 stars!! We will definitely recommend Icon Luxury Apartments.

This hotel, located in the downtown core, is a lovely choice for access to the joys of urban Cape Town. It has a lovely lobby which is an homage to Nelson Mandela, with quotations, an interesting sculpture and an impressive painting. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and fully functional. The staff were remarkably responsive. We used a washing machine in the room, and as we washed a large amount of clothes, the staff heroically brought in a dryer and hooked it up for us as well. My daughters enjoyed the spa, and were very impressed with their treatment there. The roof top pool is lovely, and the general feel of the place was welcoming and friendly. I would stay there again.

The hotel is located a few blocks from Bo-Kaap, near a hop on/off bus stop going to Table mountain and the other direction takes you to the waterfront. The staff and facilities were absolutely wonderful. The biggest surprise (we booked the suite) was the 3-level loft with full kitchen/ living room/ dining (level 1), the master bedroom (level 2) with larger closet area & master bathroom and then an absolutely beautiful balcony view. The loft (level 3) was a complete working office and sitting room with big leather chairs - awesome. Lastly the restaurant server most likely the best steaks in Cape Town - a must try for meat lovers...

I came for two nights in cape town for business. The Hotel is well located in the middle of the city with many restaurants and activites near by. The Room confort was really great. BUT there seems to be a management problem, I had booked via a mail to the hotel which I even received confirmation for a Airport pickup.... Nothing was arranged. I arrived at 13:30 in the afternoon and my room was only ready at 16:00... When they cleanned my room the next day, my towels were taken and never replaced. I had to ask the reception on my return from a long day. Otherwise since it was my first time in Cape Town I enjoyed it.

Really nice little apartment in a great part of cape town. Comfy bed, has everything you need and feels secure. I can't comment on the Paragon facilities as it turned out Madison is another building (you still check in at Paragon first) without all of these which Agoda might have made clearer before the stay. The only issue we encountered was there was only one lift and it broke one night leaving a fun 7 floor walk up.

Located in the city center but a little difficult to find in the beginning. Had to ask the security CCID for help. He was very nice and walked with us to the hotel. Cape Town city center may be too quiet and not suitable to wander around at night. Therefore, for late arrival, UBER is recommended. We walked from the airport bus terminal and were harassed by a group of people sitting, lying around the train station. The hotel was fine, Great breakfast. Good and friendly service,

Undiscovered gem well located in CapeTown. Can walk to the V&A Waterfront., Central downtown area and real grocery store (Pic&Pay) just a few blocks away on Strand.. Spotlessly clean. The single room units are quite commodious and the two room luxury suites are huge. When I mentioned our front-facing room (with a great view of Table Mountain) was noisy from street traffic, staff offered to move us to the back, quieter side. Gold star for accommodating staff. Shuttle service reliable and on time. Steak restaurant inside the building is OK for meat lovers but many other choices within a short walk. After long flights getting here, the washer/dryer was a godsend to restock our suitcases with clean clothes for the next few weeks. Breakfast on the rooftop (covered/enclosed) was way more than adequate— with hot entrees made to order. A definite recommendation if you want extended stay accommodations in Cape Town. Since no concierge per se, best for independent travelers.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Rockwell all suite hotel. Everything is readily available with very accommodating and helpful staffs. The rooms are big, neat, well-maintained. Because we enjoyed it here so much, we even cancelled our reservation in one of the hotels at the v&a waterfront and extended our stay here at the Rockwell. We recommend this to everyone who is looking for a hotel in Cape Town.

Our stay at the Hilton in Cape Town was awesome! I would recommend booking an airport transfer and asking specifically for Brendan. He was so courteous and gave us an impromptu tour of the city on the drive to the hotel. All of the other staff we engaged with were equally friendly - including Namsa at the front desk and the whole concierge team. The room was very well designed, with a glass divider for the bathroom and lots of mirrors. It was slightly on the small side but the great view of table mountain made up for this! I would also recommend the breakfast, which includes everything you could possibly want - hot or cold. The hotel is conveniently located close to table mountain, the V&A waterfront (which is where you catch the boat to Robben Island) and Kloof Street, so there is plenty to do in the area. The concierge team are very helpful in providing information about tours and there is a free Hilton shuttle service on the hour to the waterfront.

We stayed twice at Dunkley House after we arrived in Cape Town and before leaving. We went out to take the Garden Route in between. The staff were great. Very helpful and always smiling. They also gave us a better room than what we got from Agoda, which was a welcome surprise. We even asked if we can use the same room during our second trip and they kindly said yes. Rooms were cleaned daily and bathrooms were excellent. They have snack / drink bars near the rooms which makes it convenient to grab water, soda or beer if you just want to chill in the room. The location is perfect for those looking for some peace and quiet after a full day of tourist stuff. It's about 10-15 mins from Long Street, 5 mins from Company Gardens, 10 mins from District Six Museum, and those looking for a Catholic Church, it's just a short 7 mins walk. There are also 2 hop on hop off stops near the house (yellow route). Also, a short walk takes you to a gas station that has a full grocery and fast food (burger, pizza). I just wish we got to use the pool which was very inviting, but the weather was a bit cold to dip. :) Will definitely stay here again and will recommmend this to my friends.

The single rooms also need to have a full length mirror in them and the hotel needs to do something about the wet floors when it rains, I understand it's under construction but the wet floors could cause serious injury. Plus an extra blanket wouldn't hurt considering the fact that winter is very cold in Cape town plus a remote for the TV and cutlery was forgotten in my room. This is just a reminder I reckon they were in the rush to get the room ready I wasn't really bothered but some travellers might be.

In fact the nights spend at this hotel was like a nightmare. Very noisy after a busy day. The entrance to the hotel is scaring as they are always some boys loitering around there. Check in process is so frustrating and the staffs don't care how you leave their hotel to the flat. All left to you. Internet is another issue. In this world of today I can't imagen a flat/hotel that don't care how their guest survive with internet. Is like living under a rock. I spend the worse nights of my life. If Hotels were not fully booked in Cape Town during that period, I should had leave and abandon my money there for another hotel. The music from the pubs downstairs and around. Is as if the flat gonna fall on you when you are sleeping. Maybe the owners of Daddy flats should come spend a night there and witness how terrible it is for someone to use his hard earned money to buy. Please be warned.

This hotel really hit the mark for me on many levels. Being in a historic building in Cape Town with an Airstream trailer park on the roof it's funky with a lot of character. The rooms were clean and modern, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was very good. It is right in the heart of the central business district and convenient. The staff were courteous, well-trained, and helpful, although the extensive legal agreement that the hotel required be signed at check-in seemed a bit over the top. All in all it was a very good stay.

The rooms are very nice with nice furniture and a very cool bathroom. It was clean and everything worked. The staff was very helpful. Each room is different with some smaller than others. The room includes breakfast which was acceptable but a bit limited when staying for more that 3 days and eating the same thing over and over. The rooms to not have a kitchen. They advertise a balcony but they are nothing more than glass doors that open. It was still nice to open to see the street below but nothing to walk out on. The hotel is located on Long Street which is loud at night (until 2am) and can be unsafe, especially on weekends. It is where all the bars are for tourists. The Bourbon street of Cape Town. But there is security everywhere and Cape Town prides itself on protecting it's visitors. I was very glad that they also had indoor parking. I felt safe enough and the hotel bar there is great for people watching. There's just a lot of pick pockets, beggars hanging around. I'm a night person so it was a great place to stay.

The Cape Diamond is centrally located in Cape Town. It is within walking distance of the main city attractions; the Company Gardens, Gold Museum,Green Square,near a Hop-on Hop-off pick up point, vibrant Long St with all its eateries and galleries.We had some trouble with a tour company and they sorted it all out for us. The front of house staff knew their local area well and gave us good local information. When a procedure was taking a little long, we were served coffee and tea.

We spent 6 nights here with our two teen boys and were generally very happy although you have to ensure you don't get a room, as we did, close to the pub/bistro. Ours was just above the bar, which has an outdoor sitting area, and we could literally overhear entire conversations, laughter etc both until the bar closed and on the pavement outside. Our kids were unaffected in the next room. One of the pools was closed for maintenance but the other was lovely, with great views of the mountain, and there is a poolside pizza by the slice service and pool deck bar. The free breakfasts in the restaurant were great: cooked ones, Continental, pastries, fresh fruit etc - very good choice. Hotel staff were all friendly and the room cleaning good and reliable. The bar/bistro offered very well priced meals which were suitable even for a family dinner and the teens could watch music/ football on the screens. Our kitchen was very basically equipped: no grill and no pots supplied for m/wave cooking, but I'm sure these would've been supplied, if we'd asked for them at front desk. We got two bathrooms which both worked well and good power showers. There was always parking and free wi fi and reception was mainly good. Fairly convenient location, just 5 mins from Waterfront and on main routes out of Cape Town. Just 15 minute drive to Camps Bay etc and possibly 25 mins all the way down to Fish Hoek. We more than fulfilled our itinerary plans in the available time. Best Western Suites seemed to have quite a lot to offer for a three star hotel and we would happily stay there again - would just specify no rooms near the bistro!

I travelled solo and first time in Cape Town. The location is good, walking distance to many tourist sites, modest breakfast and caring host. Michelle, one of the hosts made my short stay memorable as she made excellent suggestions and arrangements to ensure I get to do what I wanted to do safely. Initially, I chose this hotel due to its location - walking distance from the City Hall, where the Slave Route Challenge started. Turns out as a great place, super friendly staffs & value for money!

My family loved to stay at Upper Eastside Hotel. Even that the area is not the best in Cape Town, there is not any problem to stay there, only a few minutes by car from city bowl or Waterfront, once inside it is a great place, confortable, nice, safe and friendly enviroment. Good restaurant and secure parking. I will recomend this hotel and hope to stay there another time!

The hotel is right in the main lane of cape town where all the bars are located. Not a place for someone who likes quite and relax time. It is botique hotel and is designed really well. The rooms are bit small but the beds are comfy. Everything was spotless clean and the staff is amazing. Check their website for different room types as you might either love the room or complety hate it. “Not for claustrophobics.”

Staff most welcoming and very helpful in planning your stay in Cape Town. A steep flight of stairs from the front door to the second floor reception. But the staff was very helpful in bringing luggage to your room. Included breakfast was from the menu and a good selection of items, although service was a little slow and cooked food could have been a little warmer. Would recommend hotel to fellow travellers but book early as the do not have many rooms.

We were so pleased with this guest house for our final few days in South Africa. Though the rooms are fairly small, they are very clean and have everything you need.
