"I dont travel much, so I was pleasantly surprised that, for $400 for 2 nights, the Baxley was so close to Bondi Beach. The walk back up the hill wiped me out, so 4 outta 5 stars for Location. But the hotel was great, paying a little more for my own bathroom was worth it I think. Would go back for sure."

"Visited Bondi early August 2019 and was glad to find a 4-star hotel around this area especially when there isn't any other better options. Perfect stay with spacious, clean room with kitchenette, Nespresso machine, super comfy bed at perfectly convenient location. Best of all, my favourite galato outlet and a supermarket is located just below the property. Staff in QT Bondi are friendly and make you feel welcome. Thumbs up to QT Bondi."

"Great hostel and the best location in Bondi right by the beach! It's clean, newly renovated and staff are super nice, but strict in following rules. Overall it became my favorite hostel because it's smaller than the ones in the city. They offer activities almost every single day and the atmosphere is just great. "

"The Hotel Bondi is a classic "pub" hotel with a twist. By pub hotel I mean not only is it on top of a pub but that this has the hallmarks of pub accommodation like smaller rooms, housekeeping only at certain times and limited in room facilities like a very small desk and no mini bar. But it has a twist. They have invested money in a renovation to make the rooms and common areas very attractive and modern. Plus there is a 24 hour front desk devoted to the hotel guests. All said, it is not about the rooms. It is the location that is the draw card. Magical bondi beach is across the road Last note - this is a fully functioning, noisy pub. The rooms are not 100% sound proofed. There is some noise leakage. Did not keep me awake at night and did not bother me. But if you want 100% quiet then this is not the place"

"Sadly the bulk of hotels in Bondi are budget end to suit the backpacker market, so fortunately this place is available to carve out a niche. If I was a visitor to Sydney/Bondi and stayed here - I'd really feel that I got the City Beach experience. It was very similar to the Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, CA. - PROS: Location is a very short walk to the centre of the beach and the strip is a hive of very cool cafes, restaurants and bars. Bills' is just downstairs, for example as is a hairdresser, banks etc. as well. The fit-out is Beach style - lots of aqua and white - which is the perfect ambiance. Everything as 4 star and comfortable, the shower/bed/chairs etc. - even if the feel was a touch mass produced (is it part of a chain). Lastly, our room was an Apartment one so it had a kitchenette with fridge etc. which would really suit travellers with kids or staying longer than usual CONS - None really, its a good place. I found it to be about 20% over priced for my expectations, but that is Sydney hotel prices speaking more than this hotels management. I also found the staff (whilst friendly) were unnecessarily strict about check in/out times - which is no big deal though. Pool was nice, but it is partly under cover due to the shape of the property I probably wouldn't stay anywhere in Bondi, particularly now that the Swiss Grand is closed."
