Close to Gion and Kawaramachi shopping area”

Great location! Close to subways and bus stops. We got Room 1 at first floor - Yugo was really helpful and got our luggage to the room (stairs). As it's on the main road, we can hear the traffic 24hours. Old style house so expect a bit of smell. There's lounge area with microwave, fridge, hot water dispenser, TV, sofa, dining table.

first time in a 'hostel'”

The first night I was in the 8 bed form which was comfortable and had lots of floor space and some lockers too. I then moved into their private room for 3 nights - which was a lot bigger than I was expecting. The only down side is that all 3 shower units are on the ground floor next to the lounge. Each floor has a toilet.

Staff denied my check in due to irregular check in time policy”

This property has a ludicrous check in time. They only accept check in between 3 PM to 6 PM. I admit that I missed to notice this in the Agoda page on their hotel policy. Furthermore, staff nor property did not proactively mentioned anything about said rules to the guest through email. I reckon I was 1 and a half hour late due to delayed trains from Tokyo. The hotel just sent me an email around 6 PM, which I immediately replied that I will be late to check in, with no further communications from the hotel. As I assumed that it will be fine, I make a call from the station as soon as I arrived in Kyoto, to ensure my late check in. The staff were not nice and all, and mentioned that he already cancelled my 2 nights booking. I was late for one and a half hour, and I could not even stay for the second night. The staff were not nice and helpful, and there goes my booking and money. I am utterly dissapointed with this booking.

The place is clean and the staff is really nice but even for a mixed shared bedroom lacks of privacy and comodities like elevator or simple way to carry luggage to uppers floors; the showers are beside the kitchen and common area, and the beds has no kind of courtin or something that help you to not being exposed to the other guests in the room.

Ok hotel, staff is helpfull but not very friendly sometimes, you have absolutely nothing to cook, just a microwave and a toaster..

單人房(共用浴室)超大，會再想住，但下2個行程都沒有房，可惜。

中規中矩”

整體而言中規中矩，但因為也不貴，我覺得cp值還不錯。可以斟酌下面優缺點決定要不要訂。 優點： 1.離車站近、設備齊全。 2.交誼廳尚可，有茶包熱水可自由使用。 3.床位大小剛好，每個床附近都有延長線的插座。我自己是覺得床和棉被還蠻好睡的啦XD 4.我住的那晚旅客素質都很好，很安靜。 缺點： 1.床沒有簾子，隱私性不足。(相對日本其他青旅而言) 2.老闆只在特定時段出現，若有問題不容易聯絡(印象中只有9-18是旅館中有工作人員的時段，像是我那天早上要Check out就只能等到9點之後...) 3.可以寄放行李，但最多可寄放到Check out當天的下午五點。(否則會多收錢) 4.浴室略小，略少。

職員十分友善，而且環境十分悠閒，行大約十分鐘左右就到商店街，食嘢購物都好方便！

숙소도 청결했고 체크인해주시는 분도 친절하셨습니다! 가격에 비해 위치가 정말 좋고 싱글룸 컨디션도 좋네요:) 다만 샤워룸이 완벽히 분리된게 아니라 벽이 쳐져있는 형태라 불안하긴했습니다 그래도 만족했어요!

위치가 가와라마치역이나 기온시조역까지 걸어가기도 좋고 기온거리랑도 가까워서 교통부분은 진짜 최고였어요! 불편한거라면 샤워실이 3개밖에 안되는거? 그런데 그것도 시간만 잘 맞춰가면 상관없었음!
