3 stars (privacy) I booked this place with the understanding that we rented the whole house (because most of the time that is the set up), but turns out that it's only the room that we have rented and the other part of the house are a common space, which is fine if that's the rules but maybe next time make it more clearer in the listing. It's fine if we have to share the common space with the other guests (if there's any) but I think that it's not fine that we have to share the common space with the relatives of the hosts and claiming that it's still part of their house even though they have their own house at the back. We cannot lock the main and the back door, we can only lock our bedroom door. The relatives are always going in the common space, specially the kid who always cries in the other bedroom. Also, there are passersby, like construction workers who get their things beside the house, beside the window, and they are staring at us while we are on the common area, that's why we have to close the windows so they cannot see us. Honestly, no privacy at all. And we can't enjoy and relax while we are on our vacation. We always hang out inside our small room. We just go outside when we cook and eat. 5 stars (cleanliness) - the room is clean, the bedsheets and towels are clean, the bathroom is clean. The aicon works properly. 5 stars (hospitality) - they are quick to reply on our inquiries. The mother of the host (caretaker) is very accommodating and helpful. 3 stars (facilities) - the bathroom is clean, however the toilet bowl itself needs to be renovated. It has a problem with the plumbing!!! I hope they can fix it because it's disgusting. The kitchen utensils are incomplete. They have given us an old knife (very hard to use). The dining table is so small, not for sharing (if they said that it's a common space for all the guests), & not enough lighting on the kitchen. 5 stars (Location) along the highway, very accessible. There are small stores around. There are additional charges: Refrigerator- Php 50 per day (i find it unusual to pay for the use of refrigerator because most of the time in other listings it's free of charge) but it's fine because the charge is very minimal. LPG- Php 100 per day Overall in my opinion, if you value privacy during your trip and good toilet plumbing, the place is good for overnight use only. But if the privacy and the toilet issue doesn't concern you, then this place is good for a few days stay.
